I'm only here because the entire BBS on the Sims 2 website seems to be full of rants and my Forum only has two members including myself. I'm so bored!

I guess you can view it that way but it is great software to use when making stories!

If it didn't take so insanely long to load I wouldn't have given up after a month of playing.

It only takes a minute or two when it's in window mode.

Two minutes! Holy Shit! What's your computer like? My slowest game (BF2) only takes like 45 seconds before it starts playing the ads...

Do you enjoy trolls?

I'm sure there are going to be plenty of them around. My advise, become a troll.

I am addicted to the game mostly for the aspect of building houses. Unfortuantely I have to get a new graphics card and my Sims 2 has been out of comission. :(

I am having withdrawals.

Seriously.

i used to play the regular Sims, and I had all of the expansion packs, but my comp. kept spazzing out and earasing everything, so I just gave up. The Simes 2 is pretty good though. Actually, the other day I had a really awkward conversation with someone and i could just see the red minus signs over our heads. That made me laugh, of course, which didn't really help the situation!!

The Sims are stupid. You cannot win, it just keeps going.
This is a joke, right... I mean... this is nationstates... how the hell do you win this? Or are you the guy who said he beat the internet and that the end guy was hard?

My problem is that it's got some very strict social values that I really don't agree with. You can't start the game with half or step-siblings. No step-parents. It would be very difficult to create my family (My dad, my mom, me and my whole-siblings, my dad's ex-wife, their son (my older half brother), my dad's ex-wife's ex-husband and his wife and my half-brother's half-brother (a year older than me)). When you start the game, no matter how many people you have in your family you'll still start with the same amount of money. The starting amount is pretty decent for a single person, but for a family of four or more it's way too little, pretty much forces you to cheat.

Everyone in the game is extremely close minded, no threeway relattionships (if you're in love with someone and you kiss someone else your SO gets pissed).

And, ok, so I realize that it's a family game, a kids game, but it'd be nice to have expansions that have more adult (real life) natures to them. For example: teenage pregnancy (there is a kind of hack-plug for this but it doesn't work to well), inter-agegroup relationships (adult-teen, for example), incest, rape, murder, etc... or perhaps I'm just sick... who knows... :p

Same, I have an Alienware and the Sims 2 has always worked fine on my computer.

I like it, but my computer is unfortunately old and so the loading times are painful. Also, the expansion packs are very expensive, so I don't have them no matter how much I want them.

Some of the additions Hackertavia mentioned would be kind of amusing.

I really enjoy the sims:D , but if you do not have cheats I think the sims are so frusterating:headbang: , they keep complaining, the stats are so hard to keep up, especially when you have more then one, the game is fun but eventually it gets boring doing the same thing over and over:rolleyes:

And if takes too long... remember that afetr a while, if you play frequently, neighbourhoods become really clogged really fast.

I've deleted my 30+ generation neighbourhood because it was taking some time to load and I started a new one, which is lightening fast.

I haven't played the Sims 2 yet. I just started playing the Sims with all expansion packs a few months ago and I'm thinking about getting the Sims 2.

I like the game, but haven't played it for a while due mostly to my having a slow computer. It's kind of fun having a really slutty character, though as someone pointed out already, it's difficult, too.
