It's ok to steal!

Well, it's ok to steal from Wal-Mart anyway. Just make sure you take less than $25 of merchandise at a time. Walmart has decided to stop pressing charges against shoplifters who take less than $25 worth of merchandise. Just remember to leave your ID at home and give them a fake name because they will prosecute people caught shoplifting a second time. If they don't know who you are you can shoplift from a different Wal-Mart every day!

It's presumably a financial issue, where it's less economical to prosecute than to just let them go.

It is quite amazing the petty things you see in Court. I remember my jaw hitting the floor once when a man came in charged with 'stealing two toothbrushes from the Poundland store'.

I suppose it's wrong to let them get away, but is Court really necessary for £1 worth of theft? I think they need to come up with another solution. Exile, perhaps.

That's exactly what it is. It's also a great way to get free stuff.

Have him admit to stealing, pay back the whopping one dollar that the toothbrush costs, and zap him with a tazer. That'll make him think twice.

Maybe not pressing court charges, but simply bludgeoning the thieves to death with some form of blow-up toy (say a blow up hammer) is in order.

Or just taking $24.99 of merchandise and running off. Teeheehee.

Stealing from an old lady? Reprehensible

Stealing from a vast and exploitative multinational corporation? Entirely acceptable.

WalMart is the Evil Empire. The only reason I'd go in there (besides someone else making me) would be to steal. Even if it were the only store in town, I had thousands of dollars in cash, and desperately needed a product. I'd steal it.

Of course, I've never stolen anything in my life. I might decide I just don't need it.

I hate WalMart.

Maybe Walmart could make apprehended shoplifters work in the store until the debt's paid off. Working a whole day in that pit of hell to pay off $20 worth of sub-standard crap would certainly make most think twice.

And that's something to be proud of?

Because you can't achieve good results on your own merits, you spend the time, not by striving harder, but by using underhanded tactics to drag other, more talented and competent, people down to your level of mediocrity.

Again, is that really something to be proud of?

I agree with those who would steal from a multinational corporation, but not from an old lady. Wal Mart/Sam's are doing this to themselves anyways. It's like coming to school naked and deciding it's okay if someone makes fun of you (okay, weak analogy).

Of course, the conditions under which I would steal involve much more money than $25, usually. Unless, of course, I thought a good was ridiculously priced.

Wow. I didn't realise we were in the presence of such ability/talent.

How humbled you make us feel to honour us with your presence and wisdom.

Lord, how we must amuse you! We, who struggle through life's vicious torrents barely able to keep up whilst you - You! - salter ahead leaving us in the wake of your brillance.

How we must cause you such mirth as you watch us struggle valiantly to understand such things that are beneath your exceptional intelligence.

Again, I would like to say on the behalf of us all, how honoured and thankful we have such a rare gift as yourself who deems us worthy enough to receive your sage-like erudition.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

May I be so bold as to ask for a minute's silence while we reflect on how inadequate and foolish we all are in comparison to this noble warrior.
