As a guess, I would say the clue is in the title and that it's Mozart's Fugue in G Minor.

Me neither.

I want to call it Bach's Fugue in G Minor, but it only vaguely sounds like the versions I've heard.

Heh, just found a different copy of Mozart's piece. So what does Philosopy win?

You're right. I am not happy...

I don't care, but then again I don't live in one of those areas...

You do know that 'Sean' (not the original Seán) means old? So yeah, I'm shaking in my boots. Almost as scary a name as Sean Bean, which translates to old woman...

One of my primary school teachers used to call me old woman as a nickname, because it's the opposite of my surname.

Well, my mum has a German name, and my dad has a name derived, AFAIK, from Greek (not uncommon, I'd imagine, for the orthodox Ukrainians), so I get stuck with an Irish name. Same reason I didn't get to learn German or Ukrainian; instead of teaching me both to please my grandparents, they just taught me English... >_>

I was under the impression that Sean was just the Irish form of John, meaning "gift of god." I think.

Newman. I suppose it's not quite opposite.

That was my understanding too. Sean = Jean = John = Ian = Jan, etc.

Yeah, it probably is, but in Irish (Gaelic) the word 'sean' means old. I'm not talking about name origins, I just think that it's a funny coincidence.

No. It's a pretty common name & much like Smith, there's a high chance that one isn't related.

I've never understood why cultures insist on naming their children with actual words. Like Chinese people name "Little Dragon" or "Potato Cake."

I'm sorry Greater Alemannia for completely getting off point. I listened to it, and, honestly, the style had lead me to believe that it was from some old video game! Anyway I think you've already got the right answer from somebody else. I never would've guessed that it was Mozart...

Aww...

As a child, I was very often asked if I was related to Paul. I watched very little TV & very few movies when I was a kid, so I never realised that people were jokingly asking me about the actor. I would always think about it, then very seriously answer "no". Sometimes I would add "I do have a cousin called Matthew, whose middle name is Paul". They probably thought I was either a smartarse or an idiot.

I don't care, it's an interesting convo. I think it's Mozart, although I can't find another copy to verify that. And it sounds like a game song because it's in midi form...
