I had to skip about 4 days of work to come up to Lawton/Ft sill to watch my college buddy graduate from Army basic. I've had a blast so far. However, I've had to spend a lot of my money that would go towards fixing my car, which needs new tires and brakes, and a tranny flush/change. About 400$ of work.

I've spent about 200$ so far coming up here-about 80$ for the army lodging room for 2 nights and 110$ to fill up the tank in the Benz.

I was at walmart with my buddy getting stuff 'cause he was going to stay over at my place tonight and we were going to watch war movies all night and eat the leftover chinese food that's been sitting in my hotel fridge since tuesday. He ended up staying at his parents room 'cause he didnt want to get caught out of his class-b uniform by the DIs, which would get him an article 15, which would get him out of Airbourne school...

In short his parents gave me 250$ to cover everything coming up here:eek:

What a shocker. God know I couldn't afford to come up her, but somehow he came through...awesome :fluffle:

How could you do that to the puppies?

I believe you should be thanking the parents, not the diety.

I've thanked both-god does use people to accomplish his will, whether or not they know it is anyone's guess.

His parents and his house are like my family away from home. Whenever I'm heading back to p-cola for school I swing through houston and have a blast doing stupid stuff with my friend and spend a few days at his house.

God gave you the money? Your friend is Jesus? Jesus is in the army??!!

Yes, my friend is jesus. God did give me the money, although technically it's still his, I'm just holding onto it for now. Jesus has his own army bigger than my own....

God is obviously responsible for every good thing that happens in life.
Of course, that also means that god is responsible for every bad thing that happens in life.

Nope. That wasn't God. If it was God, there would have been

A) Thunder

B) Earthquake

C) Fire

or D) Biological impossibilities

involved. What a show-off.

As for Texas...I think Texas could use a bit of real Jesus.

And I dont think that God cares if he needed money. He is too busy rounding up his army to fight against his other followers, the Muslims.

Yeah, what's with the rest of you guys? Is it so important to rob someone out of the joy they get from their religion? Are you perhaps so insecure with your faith or lackthereof that you need to deride others?

And in response to "that also means that god is responsible for every bad thing that happens in life." It's interesting that you can believe that he would be responsible for every bad thing that happens. Have you ever considered that many of the things that are wrong in our lives are often the result of our own mistakes or the wrongdoing of others? True if God is real than he has the power to do and alter whatever he chooses. But if he did alter every wrongdoing or mistake that we made, where would our freewill be?

And as for "He is too busy rounding up his army to fight against his other followers, the Muslims." Where did you get that idea? Jesus was in fact against violence and agression towards anyone even those who persecute us. I suppose this common misconception stems from the idea that George W. Bush is a Christian and therefore represents the majority of Christians in the US. And if he is against the muslims than God must be too! The sad thing is I've heard a ignorant people say about as much. And I would hardly consider their God to be the same as the Christian God.

Also the comment "you're confusing god with good fortune" While you are entitled to this viewpoint I ask you to consider that perhaps good fortune can result from faith in God.

God was working in the hearts of the parents. Though DM probably does think that Jesus is in the Marines and votes Republican.

What was a tranny doing in your car, and why did you need to flush and change him/her?

Because DM is like Jesus. He hangs out with the sinners.

Mock? Us? My good sir, I must protest! We have never once mocked a moment of any spiritual discussion on these forums! We are dedicated to intelligent trol- er posting on such delicio- I mean delicate subjects.

Besides which, why bother mocking something that mocks itself without our help? We do have standards you know!
