We have a problem...

The population of NSEarth is more than 1.6 × 10^13 (16,000,000,000,000; or 16 TRILLION) people. Assuming NSEarth has one livable layer, it would have to have (assuming MAX population limit for the Earth is 25 billion people on 57.5 million sq miles of land) 92 TRILLION SQUARE MILES OF LAND (and it would have to grow daily). According to my calculations, A Jupiter-sized Earth-like planet would have 76 532 500 000 TOTAL square miles of surface area. Divide that by 4 for oceans and you get 19 133 125 000 square miles, or less than .2% of the requirement. NSEarth is HUGE! Anyone else have anything on this?

Look, clearly what we're looking at here is a quantam layer arrangement. Each country inhabits it's own dimension, on a normal sized earth. As it leaves it's borders, it passes through a seamless dimensional portal, which brings it into the dimension of whatever country and/or ocean borders it. See?

I'm about 60 million people short of my NS country containing more people than are currently on this planet. 6.468 billion and counting. :D

Everywhere must be like downtown Tokyo, huge Ionosphere-scrapers, and with soylent green factories floating on the oceans.

Unlike most, I'm taking a serious reply to this:

Most RPers do not in fact play their entire population - it simply would not be feasible as they could simply crush other nations entirely. Instead, most nations I've seen RP only a set number of people as their population (for example, my NS nation has a population of nearly 3.8 billion, yet I only rp as if I have barely 1 billion). The reason? Because it would not make a very good RP to simply throw numbers about.

So yes, if everyone did play by their population, this would be a problem (that most people ignore, anyways) but many players do not role-play their exact population. This is also true on how many role-players do not role-play according to their military budget.

Another thing to note is the difference in Tech levels. MT players and FT players do not share the same places together. FT players span colonies or worlds upon worlds, while MT players are more on the NS earth itself. So NS Earth only consists of MT (and sometimes PMT) players. PT players are on a realm their own entirely away from FT players, though its mostly an organized RP that PT players pop up in.

I hope this clears things up.

I guess that might work, but NS2 would have to be in/past 2075 for technology to be at that level.

I had thought about this briefly, but the math is way beyond me. As with most games, you have to suspend judgment on quite a number of things, including the size of the planet, obviously. :)

I play my nation as a Matrix type world. I have at most 1 billion people and over 5 billion computer programs who act as simulation. Since NS is on the net you could almost say that is matrix form.

Each person has their own matrix and is the architect.

Absolutely. I find this to be the most plausible answer.
