The taste is... charming. It can best be described as what I imagine prune juice to taste like. Then again, I'm probably wrong.

This is probably the only place you can say, "Yay, I got my Final Fantasy Potion!" I'm just saying, you might not want to scream that in a public place.

I've never tasted prune juice, though. I IMAGINE that's what prune juice tastes like. You can't really describe this until you taste it yourself.

Actually, I'd imagine the potions in most FF games heal way more than 100 HP. Most starting characters in FF games have about 600 max HP at their weakest. The video's probably wrong on that.

It's not the drink that's special; you can get that in the regular bottles. The real gem is the glass bottles and collector's cards.

Plus, you can get the tracked and delivered. Postal insurance.

I've played FF-VIII through X-2... in those games, at least, potions heal 200 hit points, sometimes less if you use it outside a battle, but always more than 100. In just about all FF games, potions quickly become worthless, and you start using Hi-Potions and white magic.

Good God, am I a geek. But they're fun games.

Last year, I lived in a house with a Japanese god called Haruki and a Final Fantasy nut called ben. When Haruki brought the potion back from Japan for ben, I thought ben was going to hump him. I mean, ben almost did his hair like Cloud in celebration.

Plus, Haruki and his mates put a load together and boiled them up - apparently it's something you can do in the game to make a super potion, or something. Needless to say, it tasted like shit. The original potion tastes proper strange though, as if it were medicinal but with about a pound of sugar in it. I can't really do it justice.

You're a geek? I've got I through to X-2, not including III. After X, I thought the quality just dropped off and I wouldn't pay continually to play a game unless it was really good, even if I did have the broadband internet connection required to play it.

Seriously, this is a nation that changes what drinks are avalable every season and every year has to release new ones just for the hell of it.
