Zidane banned by UEFA for five games

GENEVA, Switzerland (Ticker) 28-10-00 -- With Juventus needing a win to assure a place in the second group stage of the Champions League, the Italian club star midfielder Zinedine Zidane received a five-match ban today for headbutting an opponent.

UEFA handed down the punishment after the 1998 FIFA World Player of the Year admitted that he intentionally struck Jochen Kientz of German club Hamburg SV in the teams' Champions League clash on October 24.

People need to tackle other people in this game to make it more exciting. Right now I just watch the WC when I can't sleep.

Did we really need another thread for this?

Couldn't you have posted that 6 year old article in one of the too many other threads on the topic* as an "earlier example of Zidane's temper" instead of making people do a doubletake here?

No you fail, because haven't really come up with a good counter argument than "You fail at life" "You fail" and "I hope you're happy in your ignorance."

Good day.

Good day.

To think football is boring is ignorant. And you've played it?!? What? At the youth level, where you do the stampede shite after a ball?

You still fail.

I mean, if you just like a sport because the rules are confusing as hell, why don't you watch cricket?

Nope, haven't had long hair for years (although when I did, it was down past my shoulders). I buzz it now. :(

I don't know much about it, other than that the rules are really confusing.

My knowledge of cricket: One guy bounces the ball to the batter (I don't know if that's the term in cricket, but he's got a bat) if the batter swings at it and doesn't hit it, then he's out... or something... but if he doesn't swing then it doesn't matter, even if the ball's right to him (or so I was told) but if the batter swings and hits the ball, then he runs back and forth between two posts until the fielders get him. Or something like that. It seems like a really confusing game.
