It's over. All we have left now is our memories-

AND PICTURES!

How did you see the world cup? What pictures stick to mind and most important, what pictures did you shoot? How did you cheer, cry, scream, or despair?

To start it off, I'll post a few of mine:

two images ingrained on my mind:

1. that damn italian who scored against germany in overtime running and shaking his head.

2. changing the channel to see on espn2 the crawl flash italy 2, germany 0 and the status flash F/OT. saddst moment all year.

oh, that and the goal itself (the italian one i mentioned, still cant watch the replay without getting sick), the Ger - Arg PKs at work, almost crashing the car when Podolski scored against sweden, breaking my glasses when italy scored by throwing them at the tv, getting my home/away ballack jerseys, being the happiest man in the world after the 3rd place match.

being ashamed to be american, being proud to support germany instead.

trying to figure out why they still kept all those exUS players as commentators. They were terrrible.

Harkes is okay -- well, tolerable. Balboa's horrid. And JP Dellacamera needs to be punched in the head for his asskissing of Zidane. I actually kept a tally during the semi-final match (yup, pen and paper in hand). He mentioned Zidane's retirement once every ten minutes.

Schweinsteiger taking of his shirt after the 3rd goal against Portugal... and getting the yellow card for it. :D

It was SO worth it, wasn't it?

It is true, pulling up your shirt is a booking. Think maybe exciting/tuanting the crowd to much may be the reason.

Shouldn't have been booked but I bet he didn't care

Nope, sorry. Might have a pic somewhere of my sisters dutch boyfriend in a Sweden shirt somewhere, but I'm too tired to find it. It's 10 am, and I'm going to bed now.
