Do you think this is possible? Or sustainable? Considering that Alaska is made of oil, Hawaii is made of tourists and California is made of money.

Em I don't think so. There wouldn't be equal status and the US. And Federal republics suck it would have to be the Communist States of the North Pacific (CSNP)

Communism is pure evil. It manifested itself in my bedroom when I was just several months old and picked me up and dropped me on my head. I don't have to justify my traumas to you.

nope, won't happen and if it did, it won't last long.
the fact that a large body of water seperates the three components would make logistics hard in keeping them united.
add to the fact that this new country would be subject to tariffs and other trade taxes would break Hawaii. the lack of local population in Alaska would make the oil they get almost meaningless unless they allow someone else to drill there for a hefty fee. which means that "Rich" California would have to fund everything... they won't last long.
add to that the fact that anyone who wishes to remain "American" would leave. depleting resources and leaving areas open for illegal immigration (which would be fine for California but Alaska and Hawaii would suffer.)
Hawaiians would take the opportunity to become their own nation and depending on which faction takes control, they would chase away all tourism, adding to the expense that Californa would have to absorb, and by becoming their own nation, they may not see themselves responsible for any taxes to be paid to this Federal Republic.
Hawaii would collapse on it's own. Alaska may survive, but only if they allow others to take advantage of them or by doing things that are already being done by America.
how long Californa would last... I really cannot say, but it will be in spite of Alaska and Hawaii.
