Ok, here's the deal gents and ladies . I'll be going to San Antonio, TX soon to meet Liz's family. While I am down there, I would like to take Liz to a nice resturant in the area, however I've never been to San Antonio until now. So could anyone recommend a nice resturant where me and Liz can have a nice quiet romantic dinner together?

DO NOT go to any restruant on or near the river walk, they have a lot of crazy pigeons that try to attack people and the whole river is green and smells funny.
That's the best advice I have.

Here is what I think of when I think romantic. A candlelight dinner in the moon light, with violin playing in the background an a Hispanic guy selling roses for $14 per rose.

Actually, I would recommend Dick's Last Resort. The food is pretty decent, the waiters are rude and obnoxious and if you don't complain, you will never get your food. I can guarantee it will make quite the impression.;)

nothing tops Dicks Last Resort. However, if your girl isn't into wearing a condom hat, I wouldn't suggest it...

The Magic Time Machine (http://magictimemachine.com/) is good and fun, but probably not what you're looking for. Keep it in mind for another evening when you want a fun party atmosphere.
Unfortunately, that's the only name that comes to mind.
However, Fodor's (http://www.fodors.com/miniguides/mgresults.cfm?destination=san_antonio@135&cur_section=din) has some nice listings...

I don't remember any condom hats, but if they look like this, it couldn't be all that bad:

There is one in Quincy market...it used to be in the prudential, and ever since it moved, they've become quite PC and tame (retired stripper is about as vulgar as their nicknames get). However, the hats are tall, white cylanders..kinda look like a joint. They write a nickname on it for you. The waitstaff is rude and harass you (if you ask for a napkin, they will ignore you, then later grab a whole stack and throw it at you). It is great.

ROFL!
Ok, I think we have the choice for a memorable evening. Not one that would be considered classy, but definitely memorable!

We ate at this pub or something called Ame's I think. Well yeah, it was right next to Dick's, I kept looking it the window looking for the hats, nadda :(
But then we were walking around and I saw a guy with the hat on. I wanted one :(
And to Wilgrove: I don't know if they have one where you're going, but I'd suggest looking for a Maggiano's.
