Why, do you think the US should be kicked out?

I would support this because the US doesn't follow the requirements for war that were established by the UN that all nations currently follow. However, this would only be OK, SO LONG AS, the US still pays their full dues. They owe that money to help alleviate all the suffering that US capitalism causes in the world.

Do you understand that the US has the largest wealth gap in the industrialized world and also the only one with NO HEALTHCARE!

I can guarantee you that the nation who is to be kicked out will veto it, so yes. After all, all UNSC resolutions are voted on by all of the members of the UNSC unless they abstain.

Yep.

Just because it's popular doesn't make it right.

No it's not for the US...it's more of a general question that came up elsewhere.

Actually what he means is... can the nation in question which is a Security Council member veto it.

I can see the origins. How can the UNSC rule against one of the SC Permanent members? It can't.

Correct. Hence the problem with the cold war and UN paralysis.

Mind you, its not an accident that this is the case......

Of course, no great power would join an organization that would be able to cripple them.

Jaysus no. No much point in being a great power if you give up your "Made Guy" rights over the rest of them.

Article 6
A Member of the United Nations which has persistently violated the Principles contained in the present Charter may be expelled from the Organization by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Security Council.
Not bad

Hey UN: Please, please, PLEASE kick us out! And then invite yourselves right out of the US to some place more suitable for you, like maybe Iran or North Korea. Then you can see how much better those places are than dem bad ol' United States, and we can redevelop that prime Manhattan real estate and build condos for the ultra-wealthy while you sit with your thumbs up your asses and fail to do anything to stop more genocide in Africa.

Oh, and forget about any back dues we might owe. We've paid far more than our share since 1945 :p
