Intellegent Plants!

Barbaric Tribes

Is it possible? Think about it. Could plants evolve into an Intellegent life form given time? certain plants can move on their own. Could plants be thinking already?

I heard of a study done where, a garden is grown for a certain group of plants and then the have people walk through and test the plants for nerve impulses. they dont react very much to random people coming through. they then had a scientist from the team go in alone and destroy several of the plants in a violent fashion. following that they had a large group of people come through. The plants still gave no reaction. they had the lone scientist go back in and go near the plants and the plants went crazy.... Respond!

Yeah, but I think PETP would be much worse.

Yes, yes, possibly.

Wouldn't mean that the plants are receiving sensory input that can distingush between various humans? I didn't know plants could do that

Well, using PETA as a moddle, they feed off greif and agony. PETA, does a good job of creating both by trying to get meat banned. However, when both sources of human nurishment are being threatened, the greif and agony should both increase exponesially. They could live forever.

Is it possible? Think about it. Could plants evolve into an Intellegent life form given time? certain plants can move on their own. Could plants be thinking already? I believe they do. To what extent, I don't know--probably depends on the species.

Respond!I think it's extremely likely, and wish more scientists took this seriously enough to try to replicate (or scientifically refute) the results. Almost every time I read about something like that in some article or other, the "mainstream" scientists the article quotes are mocking it in a knee-jerk fashion, but not taking the time to *prove* the hypothesis wrong.

Maybe they ARE scared of a PETP...

I suffer from bronchitis in the winter if I dont stay wrapped up - when I get sick I drink a hot toddy to knock me out before bed (maybe 3) - whiskey irritates bronchitis - so brandy it is
sure if you like
but normally my chest is quite fine :p
