We’ve all heard it, men not claiming to be attracted to the supermodel type because they’re too “fake.” Usually these men are unattractive and/or possess limited social graces, but not always. These men invariably claim that the average (ugly) looking girls are more attractive, and I wonder how someone can be so dishonest with themselves.
A bad case of sour grapes is what they have. They can’t have a women who’s good looking, so they claim they aren’t good looking in the first place. They settle for plain overweight women and say (lie) that they are beautiful. Whatever, maybe that’s the best they can do, and I understand that to get laid you sometimes have to lie about how you feel. It’s when you persist in the lie in the presence of your friends and in other places where she’ll never know you wish she had double D’s that you begin lying to yourself.
These are the same kind of men who lament when a women gets plastic surgery, something that makes her happy. They say things like, “Oh, she was good looking before, why she’d go and ruin herself,” when what they mean is “Oh, now I can’t possibly tap that ass.” Now, I’ll admit that some women do go overboard with the whole plastic surgery thing, but I wouldn’t kick them out of bed for eating crackers.
My problem with this denial is that it is that these men try to come off as “sensitive” and “caring” when in actuality they’re just ugly and can’t get a decent chick.

Actually, I am quite attracted to a girl much more than the others who are her friends even tho she is easily the ugliest of them. I apologise if i like people for their personality, but maybe you should try it- you might like the result.
And no, i'm not massively unnatractive myself before you say so.

Those aren't mutually exclusive. It is possible for a man to think that models and the like do look too fake, but that doesn't preclude him from valuing beauty in the "looks human" category.

An atractive person can have an atractive personality and many do, I'm told. Really I could care less.

Like I said, not all are unattractive. Some are just insecure, which is never a good thing for a man. Others just want to get laid and don't care by who, and that's fine, just don't lie to yourself about who you get, oh and wrap it up.

Most fashion supermodels these days weigh like 80-90 lbs.

Well, nobody has ever accused me of looking too fake or plastic. I wear little makeup, my hair never does what I want it to do, and my outfits look best when somebody else picks them out for me. I have a big nose. But I have never had a problem getting a guy, and my current boyfriend is very, very hot.
...now, is he just with me because he has self-esteem issues? It's possible, especially since before me, he always went after the very glam-looking girls who used him and eventually went into rehab for snorting dog fur or whatever they were doing. However, we've been together for 4 years and we're doing great, so consider this an endorsement for not going after girls who look too hot for you.

Rarely agree with you Backwoods but this is right on. This is why I don't care about looking at the "supermodels". I prefer a woman that is healthy but not overweight. Natural curves is most appealing to me.
