Happy 60th Birthday Big Guy!

On July 6, 1946 Little George Bush was born.
Some may call him the greatest American in the history of mankind.
I just call him the reincarnation of Jesus.

But for whatever you call him;

The progressives won't be in power until January.

We need to vote in progress, which means healthcare, childcare, education, housing, food, and transportation are finnally FREE FOR ALL. The wealthy must pay their fair share for the economy.

Uh.... no? I would rather have a free economy than free everything else because I know that nothing is truly free. If we made everything free then we would hurt our economy because people would cease to make rational choices based upon the values of these things. With housing people would simply try to get the best house they could without caring about how much others might want it as well, this would not be a good thing and could result in bribery forming an underground economy or inefficiency and it would put the entire real estate industry out of business. Food should not be free either, not all food is equal as how would we distinguish between a $10 filet minion and a $1 hamburger? Either we remove choices or we have high burdens as people no longer deal with the consequences of their choices.

Now, some of the ideas are not incredibly bad but that is for more economic reasons, what you promote is an insane philosophy. Have you ever studied economics? The fact that there are trade-offs and that people are free to make them is a major part of the economy.

Progressives I doubt will ever regain any majority power in the United States again. If they do, we're just setting ourselves up for a Far-Right/Fascist backlash. You keep pulling us to the left, eventually those of us on the right and even in the middle wil retaliate and move so far right you won't know what hit you. That's how Hitler came to such great power with such ease.

Heck, one could say that the resurgence of the right in the Reagan years was actually a part of what you are talking about. Now, it wasn't a super-massive backlash like a dictatorship but it was a backlash all the same to what happened during the 70s.

That's beans compared to what may happen if certain Republican can't do certain things for the people who put them there, and if certain Democrats and Judges keep pounding against the "Christian" or "Evangelical" Right. You guys fear a theocracy right now... if you layed off the gay rights, anti-americanism, we just might shut up for a time. If you keep dragging us left, we'll eventually run out of patience and endurence and do something drastic that even we'll regret later. The further left we're pushed, the further right we're going to throw ourselves back. It's like the rubber band.

Well, actually, right now I fear the left backlash as President Bush's low popularity might drive people left. However, nutjobs with his politics if they came on to the stage might create massive right backlashes. America is not a socialist nation, and it would take many years and propaganda for us to become one, either that or a massive depression.

We may not be officially socialist, but deep down, many of us have become that way because of a certain word called "Entitlement".

Universal healthcare, social security, government welfare, etc... any of that ring a bell.

Interesting. According to the polls, he's considered the worst President in the History of the United States. As for you calling him Jesus incarnate - You're clearly an insane conservative. And please, refrain from speaking for the rest of us sane humans in this country.

Your president is now officially old.

Good, then he can retire from office and we can put someone more worthy of the office into position. At least none of the people I've supported in the past had to lie, cheat, and steal to get the office of the Presidency...

You find universal healthcare "questionable"?
Yes, I haven't done all of the research I feel I needed to on the topic. So, because I have questions on its quality and capability I find it questionable. After all, there is always going to be trade-offs and this could include bureacracy and most certainly include taxes and of course, it always depends on what procedures are paid for and which aren't. Finally, if we have universal healthcare then I am going to want more control over the behaviors of other people, if they are costing me money then they need to take care of themselves. I really do not want to pay extra because somebody chose to smoke or eat 20 bigmacs every day so therefore I feel that something needs to be done so that irresponsible actions are paid for.

You find universal healthcare "questionable"?

Well if you had brains to think about it, it's perfectly o.k. to question it. What would you rather have: a shortage of doctors and quality, but with free medical care, or lots of medical specialists with quality care but not free? Look at Canada, they have a major shortage of doctors. Getting specific healthcare in Canada is a pain in the ass.

President George W. Bush received an early birthday present on Wednesday from Nintendo. The game developer sent the president one of their DS Lite portable gaming machines and a copy of Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day.

In the letter addressed to the presidential birthday boy, Nintendo points out the game will help the president "keep your mind sharp" and suggests President Bush should try it out on his next long flight aboard Air Force One.
