Stress Management

So I'm feeling a tad stressed out today, things are getting to me, people, situations, work load, personal issues, blah-de-blah and I've tried a couple of things to help me deal with stress, probably the most commons ones.

(it's just a shame that it's illegal for me to shoot people in the head, that would fix a lot of it)

Anways, I'm just wondering what people do to help releive stress (please note that i said stress, NOT tension, and especially not THAT kind of tension). How do you relax, unwind, I want to hear them all, even the weird ones!

My way of dealing with stress is thinking of something fun I will do once I am past whatever is stressing me, and then focusing on that reward whenever I feel myself getting really freaked out.

For instance, I recently had to take qualifying exams, and I was stressing like you wouldn't believe. But I told myself how after I finished the quals I was going to get trashed with my friends at the pub, and then spend half my monthly grocery bill on the biggest order of Chinese take-out ever. I'm a simple creature; these are the pleasures I crave. :)

For me a half day at the beach or up in the mountains usually gets me far enough away from stressful crap to look at it objectively and regain my composure.

I punch walls. Though not very often, as I don't really have that much stress in my life.

Even killjoys can be really funny in the right circumstances.

The right circumstances usually involve practical jokes.

Did you know that you can fill the foam in the cushion of an office chair almost completely full of water without the fabric showing any outward signs of wetness? Did you know that super glue can permanently attach a cap to a biro?

if i want to laugh, i'll hire a funny movie, or ring a friend - i'm not paying to stand in a room with other people and laugh.. just because...

although the thought does amuse me

Letting the ultraleft know that violence may be the last refuge of the incompetent,
but that the competent don't wait that long. :p

*giggle* the last holiday I had had such a disastrous ending.

Actually, I should not giggle about that, but... anyway...
one step at the time when it comes to offering to pamper and all that...
it was a fairly disastrous holiday.
