7 hours til Amsterdam
Thats right Generalites.
Current time: 3am
Plane leaves: 7am
Time arrive in Amsterdam: 9am (foreign time)
I'm sooooooooooo excited I just couldn't get to sleep. Taken some money out my savings so will have about 80 euros a day to spend. Awww man. Can't wait to get there, check in and hit the first coffeeshop.
I'd just like to apologise now to the Dutch people for the fact that drug tourists are probably one of the most irritating aspects of Amsterdam. In my defence I will try and not be a prick (though I cannot guarantee anything)

Cool. Have a good time. My vacation begins next week--13 days of driving across the US, complete with some Utah hiking, and visits to 3 microbreweries. Not quite the Amsterdam coffeeshops, but it'll have to do. :p

Drugs, meh.
I'd be more interested in the Red Light District.

Just don't make the mistake of thinking it's legal, so you can ask the nice man checking your passport on the airport. :)

Yay you! If you ever manage a sober moment in between - take a peek outside, Amsterdam is really nice. :)

Nah, drug-tourists are funny. Especially the ones that aren't used to our strong weed and get stoned as hell after a few drags. :D

I think I'm very possibly the only American who has ever been to Amsterdam and didn't smoke anything. Amsterdam is a really nice city, even without the.... chemical enhancements.
My vacation starts in a couple of weeks. The girlfriend and I are going to Mackinack Island (a resort island in Lake Huron) and northern Ontario for a couple of days.
OOOOoo could anybody clarify something for me- do red and blue lights outside whorehouses mean they offer shemales? Its just my dirty mate wants a prostitute and we want to play a joke on him.

I'd like to go to Amsterdam, but i wouldn't go for the drugs, it's just not my thing, but i would like to see the city. My brother and his girlfriend went, along with many other places in Europe, and they didn't partake of the drugs either. He did call us from there drunk though...lol.

Well, when I was in the Army I knew a number of guys who considered themselves to be connoisseurs of sorts. I'd rather pay indirectly (dinner, movies, etc.) and pretend that I'm not paying for it rather than just pay up front.
