Masters of Horror

The Golden Simatar

To all horror fans out there in the USA who have been picking up and watching Mick Garris's creation Masters of Horror might want to know that the DVD art is changed.

Now, this may seem like a small detail but I am a die hard horror fanatic who just can't stand the sudden change from this:

to something like this:

I feel like the original cover art design is far more unique than the new cover art design. The purpose of the series was to make the director's the stars to show off thier talents and voices with complete creative freedom. Now the new design simply offers a standard cover with only a small MoH symbol and FROM THE DIRECTOR OF part.

So far Anchor Bay hasn't released any info why this has occured, but my belief is that Homecoming (from Director Joe Dante of Gremlins and The Howling), Jenifer (Dario Argento, Opera, Tenebre)...this one's art is already on the net and follows the new design like Dante's and Imprint (Takashi Miike, Audition and Ichi The Killer) will hopefully be the only ones to recieve this since they were the ones in the USA that caused the most ruckus with folks and Anchor Bay wants to seperate them from the pack. But, then again this could be a permenate change.

I ask all horror fans to shoot emails to Anchor Bay asking about this and to ask to keep the original formate of the DVD look in order to preserve the director oriented look and feel of the series.

Anchor Bay's website is anchorbayentertainment.com and emails should be sent to

horror@anchorbayent.com

Thank you all for your time.

Homecoming caused a ruckus in the US? Really? I thought it was the weakest of the series.
