How many more terms should bush serve?

Bushanomics
05-07-2006, 20:31
This is bushanomics here. I'm bush like. We all know that bush is one of the greatest presidents of all time. Possibly the greatest, and we all know that the traditional two term limit is around the corner. So the question is how many more terms should bush be able to serve before his brother becomes president. Unlike homosexual marrying, tree huggin, baby killin, laberals bush has good moral and Christian family values. He has served as president in this nations toughest time to date, he will be remebered in history as mabye slightly under Washington.

We all know that Bush should be impeached immediately for his illegal war and his attack on the Supreme Court and the 4th Amendment Right to Privacy.

Much like all the other presidents.

Possibly the greatest,

If he manages to improve greatly over the next two years.

A very long corner.

So the question is how many more terms should bush be able to serve

Or not serve.

Or gets arrested.

Ummm, no, there were not many. There was FDR and that's it.

Yes, they made it a law, that a president could only serve 2 terms, so the president couldn't become oppresive. Before it was just a precedent set by Washington, who quit after 2 terms even though he could have won many more times.

Yes, term limits. No president may be elected by the people for more than 2 terms. Well as the hippie liberals are kind of pointing out, he lost the popular election for his first term, and therefore was not elceted in by "the people" so, Bush still has 1 more term to go YAY :D

About three more. That should be enough to completely run the USA into the ground and let the other countries take over.
And that actually was somewhat serious. In many ways Bush has done more for the unification of other nations than other world leaders ever could.

No. 2 terms, period. Go read your Constitution.

EDIT: For the lazy, here's the relevant text: http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.amendmentxxii.html
Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Section 2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the Congress.
