Right person Wrong body?

Recently I've been talking to my friends on MSN and, one in particular, raised a discussion on Schizophrenia. Now it's set me thinking, not about that, but whether I'm in the right body or not. My head feels normal, but my body is detached. Just like it will do what I say, but with a lack of enthuisiasm other people have. Has anybody else experienced this? Or does anybody have any suggestions what it is? Or anything else?
--------------------------------------------------------------------

I think it may be dissociation
Not bad

If it is an out of body experience and you go to the light you will die.

Step away from the light and keep all arms legs fingers personal posessions and toes out of the light.

Other than that bit of advice....I dunno.

No it's like a dog being chained to it's kennel. But it's not the right kennel and the dog dosn't want to stay in it but will for protection.

Is it like when some folks feel that they're a woman trapped in a man's body or something?

No, more like a suit that dosn't fit.

You just lack the joie de vivre. It happens when people's lives are too sheltered and comfortable. We generally need a certain ammount of challenge and competition to feel we're alive.

Read Sartre's Nausea; otherwise look up disassociation in some DSM type manual. I don't know, perhaps you're just fatigued.

How does a body either have or lack enthusiasm??

Okay, in your head you're really enthuiiastic. You throw with all your energy, yet you throw with all your mental energy rather than your physical, because your body cannot be bothered.

I'd probably say this too :) This, added with mild hypochondriac tendancies, and you get a recipe for exactly what you describe.

Ok mate, heres what ya do.

1. Don't do drugs/drink. Only makes things worse.
2. Tell yourself that you're the man.
3. Go out, and see a funny movie.
4. Get a girlfriend (If you're interested in anyone)
5. You'll be fine (I'm screwing with ya, dude, sometimes we all just feel down for some reason. I have before. It takes time. I know that feeling very well, and it just takes some time for it to come around)

all in all, just relax and tell yourself it's all in your head.
