Not from there, but I've a couple of mates from Burnley and Rawtenstall. I myself am from Preston, and as a laxed football fan am therefore obliged to hate you. And possibly chant 'your mum's your dad, your dad's your mum, you're interbred, you Burnley scum'. I know I know, it's not where you're from, but it's the closest big footie team :D
On another note, if you are or were in pre-GCSE education last year and had any sort of physical or mental disability, from as mild as dyslexia, I've probably seen your education file.

One of my flatmates in halls was from Bacup.
His standard joke about he place is that it was such a dump, whenever anyone ended up there accidentally the passenger in the car would shout 'Back up, back up!!', hence its' name.
it's a poor joke but having been there, he had a point.

My sister did her dissertation on how much of a shit hole the whole area was, specifically with reference to the urban regeneration projects in areas such as padiham. I had to take photos of the whole area.

I used Windows Bacup once. I don't think it worked properly.
