People People People....in 3 hours it will be the 4th state side. So why dont we just stop worrying about Republicans and Democrats and Iraq for a minute and remember the beginnings of this great nation while watching some fireworks.

Unless something has changed drastically in the past few days I've been disconnected (stupid south), I don't think we can get along. And I'm okay with that, much more fun this way.

Naw, remembering the beginnings of that nation, and all that could have been but was lost, is just too painful.
Kudos to Ben Franklin and his mates. The first, last and only Americans there ever were.

Please. Ever since February it's just been "wah wah wah, America sucks, wah!" and they've been telling us to shut up, now it's the 4th of July, so LAY OFF! Let's remember the beginnings of what is a great country. :D
By the way, the British apparently can'ttake a joke. I cracked a joke about the American Revolution and some guy told me to learn some history. They can dish it out but they can't take it (some of them, it seems. Not all.)
But... HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!! :D

Well, in Feb. I found the forums, and since then I've been seeing Anti-American threads, though I know they've been going on longer than that. :headbang:

I apparently did miss them, and I am not a he. I am a she, if you don't mind.
But please, lay off. It's an American holiday and we deserve to celebrate on here without having to hear "USA SUCKS!" every other post.

And yes, Bush does suck. What I meant when I said "BUSH SUCKS" was that it seems like every time somebody mentions Bush everyone else goes on to mention how much America sucks for electing him. NEWS FLASH: A lot of people didn't vote because all of the candidates sucked. Bush just got more votes than everyone else, though his approval ratings are in the toilet...

Everyone has their own views about things and most people here enjoy debating with each other. Maybe you'd get along better if you didn't take offence at people stating their opinions. Now stop acting bitter because your other thread didn't work out and celebrate. Have fun. :D

I was born in the United States, and I have spent my entire life in the United States, and I know that the United States of America is on the brink of complete collapse. However, I am willing to celebrate the Fourth of July in remembrance of a good idea that ultimately failed. My hat's off to you, Mister Jefferson!

But the right to celebrate American independence by posting on a UK-based forum and demanding that as a right... I guess there are plenty of clever observances I oculd make about USAmerican arrogance right now, but in the spirit of civility I'll refrain from doing so. ;)

Well, nobody would give a happy 12 of Octuber (national day in Spain) and if someone would do it, I'd think he or she is joking. That make me think about how different can be US and my country. But I don't know if I'm proud of it or not.

Hey, people, be nice. America is great. If Andrew Jackson hadn't orhestrated the Indian Removal Act, I wouldn't be here in Oklahoma getting free healthcare, groceries, etc. just because of my Indian heritage. Sure, we have essentially no freedom whatsoever, but remember, freedom isn't free, and the money we would have used to pay the freedom bill has been diverted to building mansions for political figures. Who cares if America's now more similar to the Soviet Union than anyone is willing to admit? There were some happy people in the Soviet Union. Just be happy with what little you have (and remember, when you gamble, do it in Indian casinos! Mitchel wants his HDTV!).
