Both sides are declaring victory in the Mexican presidential election. It looks like it will be a very close election. They won't even start officially counting the votes until Wednesday, so it could be some time before we know who's the winner.

Mr. Calderon is claiming victory, with the 80% of the votes reported, and a 1% lead in his favor. Mr. Obrador is sounding a conciliatory tone, stating that he would respect an election result that would show him not as the winner. The PRI candidate is in third place. Furthermore, the PAN (Calderon's Party) is looking to take a plurality in the congressional elections.

Nope. Ballots that aren't clearly marked are anulled.
