What's your favorite outfit that you've ever gotten to wear? (Must be actual clothes, no "birthday suits" please.)

Tonight, I get to wear a traditional Vietnamese dress (called ao dai) to my sister-in-law's wedding reception. It is incredibly beautiful, I am very excited about it.

A few weeks ago I got to wear a traditional saree to a neighbor's wedding (the bride is Bengali). I am not sure which outfit I liked more. In the saree, I got to wear a bindi, and it is one size fits all, so I think that one is my favorite. (When it comes to sizes, lets just say American women arent built like Vietnamese women).

What's the neatest/most exotic outfit you've ever worn?

generally don't wear "outfits" or exotic things :(

i suppose either the sort of thing i was wearing today would count - big white, hippy-esque caftan, shorts and stuff, and in the past i used to wear a bandana and have these cool round john-lennon-style sunglasses... old flatmate of mine once remarked i looked like a white jimi hendrix :P

When I was in high school, I took Latin and belonged to the Junior Classical League. We had Roman banquets at which I wore a traditional Roman woman's palla and stola in shades of blue. It was gorgeous.

I use to have this really nice soft robe and these comfy sandals..

I wish the Romans let me keep them..

I had a snazzy costume for a performance of Camelot, very Arthurian. I enjoyed that... When I was younger I also had a nice tunic that my Mom made for me- Hmm... There's starting to be a pattern here...

As far as "regular" clothes go, I like my cycling jersey. It is good-looking and sweat-slicking. What could be better?

I've enjoyed dressing up like a jedi knight.

But my favorite has got to be the Evil Clown I do for halloweens.

Ninja Clown was also pretty good.

Probably not as much as I did when I went through my 'black suede three-quarters length jacket with three rows of tassles and silver buckles, Chelsea boots, drainpipe jeans and reflector aviator sunglasses' phase.:p

charming.

its certainly a difficult issue for satyagraha to resolve, and the mahatma's ideals do fall down somewhat there, as they require the enemy in civil resistance to be a moral entity (or at least have common moral viewpoints), but this isn't really the place to be discussing that :p

Favourite outfit? The one I wear everyday of course...

Whatever comes to hand :) Ah the joys of being either male or entirely unbothered by my appearance (haven't quite decided which one it is that allows me to go out in whatever the hell I just picked up off my chair. Possibly both.)

Go here to see pix from an internet catalog: http://aodaivinh.com/index.php?cPath=23_34

Its kinda hard to explain, you sorta need to look at the pictures. Mine wasnt very traditional at all. It didn't have sleeves, and even though ao dai is a traditional Vietnamese dress, the pattern on mine was sort of Chinese.

Not only is it incredibly pretty, but it is also super comfy! (silk pants!)

My hemp button down, baggy cargos and boots. The shirt is durable but breezy, the pants comfortable and utilitarian and the boots protect my clumsy ass from dropping c-stands on my toe.

Oh, and the vacationer hat that I can pull down to cover most of my head.

Though I do like the occasion where I can wear my pork pie hat, even though I look like a poser/tool.
