So I want to know what is the most awful event/thing you have ever witnessed? Please no pics or references to certain....umm..pictures of gross nastiness...so no goatse or tub girl damnit

I saw a man get run over by a train when I was 17, it was terrible.

I saw an autopsy when I was 14, it was cool!

Hit by a train? arghh....that blows...

Luckily for me, all the morbid things I have seen have come from the net, and are not personal experiences.

In Siberian prisons if you want to escape and make it out alive to lets say....Moscow you need to take a fat person with you. Since you need to eat something when you are half way there, otherwise you will starve to death.

cool...eh?

Hit by a train? arghh....that blows...hehe..
ah, his broke down truck got hit by the train, it ended up about 1/8 mile down the track (if you could really call it a truck after that) he actually got run over by the train (he was outside the truck) and all my yelling and screaming and pleading he wouldn't move, he tried to save the Dodge and when I ran the 150 feet to find him to try to save him, I found him, well the upper half, I hear his lower torso and one of his legs was down by the truck, I didn't go investigate after the cops and ambulance got there.

I am still kinda traumatized while crossing that particular train track....I remember him, bisected, it's terrible.

Wow, that is very disturbing. -hugs- Sorry you had to witness such a thing. I can't believe he valued his truck more than his own life. Was he an acquaintance of yours?

nope, never met him, I was behind him at the stop light, he stopped to far ahead of the line, and tried to back up but his truck broke down he was trying to push it off the tracks, but it wouldn't go into nuetral, and then we heard the train, I screamed and tried to get him to leave it but he wouldn't. I don't think they ever found all of his other leg. It was the first day I ever called in to work, I went in 3 hours late.

Im sorry, but I would have required some kind of counseling after that. I am pretty puny when it comes to people dying violently.

I have the ability to seperate my emotions from reality, I think it comes from my screwed up childhood, apathy is my strong suit. :(

I snuck into a gross anatomy lab when I was eight. It was amazing. They almost couldn't get me out.

Aww... that makes me feel bad. No one should ever have to hide their emotions, i guess. Im sorry to hear about your misfortunes in life, but luckily you seem to have turned out just fine. -nods-

A B-52 crash on the end of the runway after receiving battle damage over Hanoi. They almost made it back, almost. Four out of six crewmembers were killed. :(

A few months ago in bio class, the teacher's husband (who's a professor of biology somewhere) brought in a bunch of body parts. There was a cut away of someone's head, with the nose hair still preserved. He passed around parts, and when the skull came to me, I couldn't resist. I had to do Shakespeare. :p

Sickest thing I had to deal with was a bag of eyeballs given to us in biology. The smell from a huge bag of eyeballs is horrendous! Other than that we had a pickled two-headed lamb at college. Seen dead bodies after car accidents laid out on the road. Worst of all was having my top lip ripped apart by a Jack Russel when I was 9 - lots of blood. Maybe you should start a what's your worst injury thread.

You would be my hero - if I hadn't already assigned that role elsewhere today. Sorry.:D
