Well, what a tournament it's been. Of the three arguable favourites (Brazil, Germany, Argentina), only one remains. So, what are your bets for the semis?

I'm thinking:

Germany 0-2 Italy
France 1-0 Portugal

Germany on penalties.
Portugal on penalties.

Germany 1-0
France 2-1

France over Germany 2-0 in the Final.

Germany 1-0
France 2-1

France over Germany 2-0 in the Final.

I can't decide on actual goals, but it'll be France and Germany in the finals, and Italy and Portugal in the Best Acted Match ever for third place.

Why does everyone hate Portugal? They deserve to be there. Henry has acted better than any Portugese player.

Well the Germans are a good side, and have home advantage. But Italy always cheat so its too close to call.

Portugal should beat france. the french are too old and portugal cheat even more than italy. especially that dirty bastard christiano ronaldo. france surprised me against Brazil though so you never know. if they realise the portugese will dive at the slightest contact anyway, they might start deliberately injuring them like england should have. if Vieira can take out C Ronaldo and deco without getting sent off they could win.

Oh, I don't hate Portugal at all. They were one of my favourite teams ever since they won the European championship as the underdog. And, hello, they have Figo. :cool: And their keeper rocks (even if I keep forgetting his name <.<... too wrapped up in the Figo love probably.)

But they did fight pretty dirty this time (Figo included, the old head-butter) - that game against the Dutch was an outrage (on both sides, though) and they're going just a tad heavy on the diving. :p

I have "We're no good" syndrome. Italy, France and Portugal look incredibly strong to me right now. So did Argentina (then again, they very nearly were).
