Conservative Christians, Jews and Muslims have been brought together in Jerusalem. They're united in a common cause. They want to stop a gay rights march. From decorating the homes of the rich and famous to designing fashion, to bringing together ancient religious enemies, is there anything the gays can't do?

Israel has gay pride parades all the time. In Israel, there is an openly homosexual Knesset member and gays have civil unions, etc. Its really quite a bastion of gay rights in the Middle East, compared to places like Saudi Arabia or Jordan, where they can be executed for being homosexual. Even compared to many Western nations where civil unions or gay marriages aren't allowed.
The problem here is that this is in Jerusalem. And Jerusalem is a disputed city. Its viewed by Palestinians as 'theirs' and Muslims as 'theirs', even though Israel annexed and generally controls it. That is kind of what the article explains when it states it, "could trigger a worldwide Islamic uprising more intense than the riots and bloodshed generated by the cartoons in European newspapers of the profit Mohammed."
While religious Jews and Christians generally don't support homosexuality and gay rights, the real issue here is the Muslim response. I think that Jewish and Christian groups are working in tandem with Islamic groups here because they don't want to see blood fill the streets as a result of Islamic extremism. And, on that note, if the gay pride were to go ahead then Jews in Israel would most likely be blamed for promoting the "defilement of the Holy City."
