Annoyed if it goes overboard? At times.

And didn't we just have a thread about this, say, yesterday?

I even made the poll public so we all know at the end who the myrthless loosahs are..

Actually - people who <3 fluffles could just add those to their sigfile or summat.

Having just looked at the petty vanities thread, this thread is not going to answer the question posed, which was not if people get offended by flçuffles but how do people get offended by them.

For me a fluffle is equivalent to a US clerk sayin 'have a nice day' - impersonal and cheesy. If you want to say something nice to someonne, then say it, don't resort to squashing two yellow tomatos together to express your opinion.

I generally only use smileys to represent tone of voice. This means I use the eek and rolleyes more than the others. What tone of voice does a fluffle represent? Babytalk?

From my mouth, it would rather be the Barry White thingie.
And definetely not impersonal...

I explained above. Too cheap and easy to be meaningful.

Add to that the correlation between a fluffle and an otherwise vapid and popintless post, then they become offensive.

I don't know it, so no. I might be if I knew it. (Brazil does not always get the music from the US/UK - we miss out on some good things and a lot of rubbish - Crazy Frog never took off here, as an example of the latter)

Yeah, well, missing out on Crazy Frog is indeed a blessing.
Anyway, I'm getting the feeling you wouldn't do Blackpool and similar places.
