I just watched Lily Allen's "Smile" on TV and...well...that was awesome. She really is awesome. When she just sits there and grins, knowing she made it all happen...*sighs*

Who else knows some great music videos? Which ones are the best ever? Which never got as much recognition as they should've gotten?

Devo's Whip It for the hats.
Missy Elliot's Lose Control for creativity.

Gorillaz have nice videos, but they are cartoons so it's easy. El Mañana is good though.

"Devil and the Harlot" by some group I don't listen to wasn't too bad.

Although I do agree that Björk's "All is Full of Love" is really cool as well.

"The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song" - The Flaming Lips
"Hurt" - Johnny Cash
"Let Forever Be" - The Chemical Brothers
"Sabotage" - Beastie Boys

There's another one, which is by a band I can't remember, but it's a single shot clip, where we witness different groups of people from different periods in human history run up a beach with a capsule. It's pretty cool.

Of course I can't forget "Star Guitar" - The Chemical Brothers. Simple and yet mind-bogglingly complex and what a clever idea.

Wow, thank you so much!

I love this song to death and I'd never seen that video. What a simple yet cool idea.

All we ever got for a video was this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jezEqry0RB8) crappy afterthought. It's even more boring when you see it on TV - that brown backdrop is terribly depressing.

They did, and Sabotage is one of their best, but even after all this time, I don't think anyone has ever touched Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer."

A still from "New Noise" by Refused.

The video also features vocalist Dennis Lyxzen screaming while swinging upside down from the roof, to the accompaniment fo the rest of the band rocking out.

That's cool, never seen it before.

2 of my favourites:
Weapon of Choice (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hDGAvqwgdk&search=weapon%20of%20choice), mainly for the mirror bit at 2.30.

Sleep Now in the Fire (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-UYdzTh2lI&search=sleep%20now%20in%20the%20fire), just cos.

Mann Gegen Mann is better than all those, although it may not be linked to from here.

That's what I was about to say. Sledgehammer is just amazing, especially since it was made during the 1980's. My next favourite is probably Loser by Beck, just because it was made on a two hundred dollar budget. That's crazy.

True, Mann Gegen Mann is a far better video, just I prefer those two

Oh, and "Yay!" for finding a Rammstein fan. The number of people I know who have even heard of them around here can be counted on one hand

I second this. Aphex Twin's "Come to Daddy" is probably the best music video I've seen.

I'm in the same boat as you. Love the song, but had never seen that video. It was great, thanks a ton Wallonochia!

Umm, I was going to post the video for Weapon of Choice but someone already posted that. I'll try to think of some cool videos that haven't been mentioned yet.
