WC The winners will be - poll

As we are down to eight teams - I decided that a poll on which team will be the winner at this point could be interesting. (But maybe not.)

Is it going to be multiple choice? :p

Erm...I'll say the winner of Germany - Argentina will lift the trophy. So I'll vote at 7pm BST.

Well, ever since Brazil's first game I had Argentina or Germany. Then Brazil played a good second half, and I thought all three had a shot.

Now that Brazil has not been able to duplicate that too-short magic, I'm back to Argentina and Germany.

And since Germany will obviously kick out Argentina today, Germany will take the cup.

QED.

If it's alphabetical order, why isn't Sepp Blatter between Portugal and Ukraine (or maybe between Argentina and Brazil)? :p

And WYTYG: Argentina will win today. *nod*

Stop sitting on the fence. No - it is not multiple choice - today's kids are spoilt by these soft exams. ;)

Because Sepp is just there for people like you that can't decide and want to see the poll results :p

I vote for Germany as well. They have not only played outstandingly thus far, and have managed 3 shut-outs, but they are on German soil. And I believe in the spirit of the German people. I think the German players are going to outplay every remaining team and win the cup.

Deutschland ist die besste team in der Welt!

That's because Sepp Blatter always wins. He's not even beholden to alphabetical customs.

And WYTYG: Argentina will win today. *nod*You better watch your mouth or I'll have to find a way to jinx that England-Portugal game against you. :p

You're dreaming. I watched Argentina play it's last match, and they were no where near the same level as Germany was during the German-Swede match. Argentina would have to pull foul after foul in order to get the regulation penalty kick to win the match. And that's not gonna happen.

If Argentina win, I'll make enough not to have to worry about England - Portugal. :D

I'm thinking Germany for 4th world cup, but all other 7 have a chance.
I don't want Italy to win.

It is now going to be very amusing to see Germany lose to Ukraine in the semi final. It is unlikely, but it would be amusing.

Remember how amazingly well France played before France-Spain? Past games mean nothing at this point (well, heh, Portuguese may disagree...)

Half the Portugal team are on yellow, so England could win because Portugal don't have enough players on the field!

I would prefer they voted and we never know who they are, than a public poll where only those that post anyway will vote.

So unfair :( (it was their own fault. Idiots. I wish Deco wasn't portuguese.)
My sympathies are usually on Portugal's side. They are my favourites of those 8. Too bad that my favourites never make it :D

I'm not convinced by any of the remaining teams. England have been lacklustre, but I think they'll knock out Portugal. Germany are still suspect at the back. Italy are outstanding defensively, but do play a pretty negative game. France have staggered into the finals, but did pick it up against Spain. Brazil have done what they needed to do to win, but not much more.

I'd say probably Brazil, but maybe Portugal if they get past the English.

I'm surprised england got any votes except mine..
I was under the impression germany sucked, despite the home team advantage.
