Who will run for each party?
And who do you think will win?
Which states do you think will swing?

Not George W. Bush.

The next US Election is in November. A whole hell of a lot of people from many parties are running in various congressional and gubernatorial races. The list would be way too long.
If you're talking about the 2008 Presidential election, nobody has announced their candidacy yet. It's too early in the election cycle for that.

You mean the 2006 elections? Well, there are a whole crapload of elections going on in each state. I believe all of the Representatives are up for reelection, as well as some of the Senators. Also, in many states, various state officials are up on the block. In my own state all of the Federal Representatives are up, as well as the state Representatives. One US Senator is up, as well as the entire state Senate. Most interestingly here, the Governor is up, which will be a terribly nasty election.
I think the Democrats will gain a couple of US Representative seats, and Senator Stabenow will keep her seat. I think that the Democrats will seize control of the state legislature, but there's a good chance that the Republican candidate will be elected Governor.
I've heard predictions that the Democrats will take control of the Federal House, but I don't know where I read that. I really can't say for sure how elections will go in other states.

I am going to assume you meant the next presidential election.
On the Republican side:
Jeb Bush would be the obvious candidate. If his last name was anything but Bush he would be the obvious choice by far.
McCain will obviously run again – and I think he will be able to garner quite a bit of support. Some have postulated that a McCain/Giuliani ticker would be a winner but no hints as of yet about Giuliani getting into the race.
Some have suggested that Rice will run but that is unlikely. As much as it would amuse me to see the first serious presidential candidate who was black or female be a republican, I don’t think it will happen this time.
When it comes to the Democrats:
Hillary will not run – if she did she would have a tough time winning the primary but have no hope in the general election.
Gore has been doing a lot of PR lately so he may be trying to get back into the race but it is unlikely that he will run.
Kerry is going to make another attempt – which I think is ill advised, he made his play and lost. Ever since his political record has been one designed to appeal to the extreme left and has lost him any real chance of winning the presidency.
Kaine will definitely be in the running despite his rather pathetic performance giving the rebuttal to the state of the union.
It is far too early to tell. We won’t see much until after this November’s results are properly analyzed for any potential trends – that’s when people will start making noise.

He said on the Daily Show the other night that he will not run.
Nobody has announced candidacy yet. Nobody. Anything said is speculation.

I think he's going to do something else.. I can't remember what I heard.

Dick Devoss.
Dont know anything about him.
He refers to himself as the "un-republican".
I remain suspicious.
Sadly, our current govenor was handed a huge budget problem, and hasnt been able to drag Michigan out of it, and many, many funds have been cut.
Thus, making her seem innefectual, and weak.

All DeVos has said is that he wants to get rid of the Single Business Tax. I agree with him on that, but he hasn't put forward any ideas for alternate sources of revenues, which probably means he wants to cut services, which have been cut more than enough as it is. Other than that, all his campaign centers around "I'm not Granholm". That didn't work for Posthumous, and I don't think that'll work for him, but I think he may unveil an actual platform at some point before November.
I agree that a lot of Granholm's problems aren't of her making, and she's done her best to fix things. These things take time, but I don't know if Michiganders are willing to give her the time she needs. The state drastically needs to diversify it's economy, and that isn't going to happen overnight, but people are desperate for something to happen to pull Michigan out of this recession.

I can tell you who won't be running...
Any and every convicted felon...
and George W. Bush, William Jefferson Clinton, George H. W. Bush, Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford...
and Jeb Bush...
My pick for the Republicans is John McCain.
My pick for the Democrats is Hillary Clinton.
