Good for you. I do twice that every freaking week. <_<
For those that do not understand the fu reference...well...I'm actually not certain of its origins either, but it's an American pop culture reference that basically states that a person has special skill in that area, such as working, in this instance.

That would be kung - not fu. He should have said "my work kung is strong" and it originates from Shaolin temples of China.- Kung-fu means as you say a set of skills learned through training and hard work. Everyone who can walk possesses walking kung for instance. American pop culture just twisted it a little is all (so what's new there then?)

seriously other than 'parenting' and 'homeschooling' I did work 90 hours last week, and will work more this week, only my stupid self doesn't get paid......
:(

I get to go out on a date with hubby next Friday night ;) (which is why I have to work so hard this week, so I can get ahead, so that next week I won't be so stressed, so I won't be too tired by Friday to go on a date)

Seriously, my first two years at this job I didn't get a single day off. I was either working or on call and working. Granted it's a desk job and not near as labor intense as my last work (which often had 80+ hours any single week of actual work).

what do you do?
haha! the easier answer is what do I not do........
I am a stay at home mom
I homeschool
I am the chairperson of 2 commitees
I am the regional director for a support group for children with celiac disease
I am the secretary for the women's ministry at church
I am a tax specialist and financial advisor (which I do get paid for)
I am a teacher (during the school year) for preschool aged children
I am a consultant for local restruants regarding gluten free menus (for which I barter services)
I have speaking engagements (for which I sometimes get paid)
and I basically annoy my local congress people and the FDA on a daily basis about Celiac related legislation
on top of that I spend about 4 hours on the phone or on email a day with national companies trying to get them to more clearly label their foods, and ensuring that they are complying with the new labeling law that went into effect in January.
oh, and I am my husband's wife, so you know cooking, cleaning, stuff like that.

Not really....

actually I was an extra in Twister, he wasn't in it, but his aunt built that shed that's at the end that gets blown away.
He has mostly been in film festival type stuff, that will be in the festivals this fall/winter, and a feature film that is in post production. (http://imdb.com/title/tt0478329/)

Hmm, the best I've ever done is 140 hours in 2 weeks, doing inventory prep when I worked at Wal-Mart. I was visiting from another store (with 4 other people), and when we showed up, the regular associates stopped working (hence, why I had to do 140 hours in the final 2 weeks of prep). I did such a good job there, the store manager offered me a department managers position.
Looking back on the whole thing, I wish I had done a slightly worse job (I hated working as a department manager at that store: bad pay, long commute, jerk-offs for assistant managers, most of my associates were useless, etc).

But I like death metal - if that was on t.v all the time it'd rule! none of this boy/girlgroup stuff. Problem is not everyone is as well balanced an individual as me and all that hate and anger could turn kiddies to the darkside. Maybe I'll collide pop with EMO then and see if they'll cancel each other out!?!?!?
Happy pop - depressing emo = 0

It comes from Chinese. Kung Fu translates directly as attuned skill/art (Kung) of fighting(fu). However, like most things, the Americans f*cked up the word-port and use the word for fighting instead of the word for skill. What should be said is "my kung-work is strong" or for a proper modern pinyin translation "my gong-work is strong".

I already said that on page 1 and Kung fu does not in any way translate to fighting. Just a set of skills attained through hard work.
