while i will say it was in bad taste(like monty python was at times)
good for him, kinda not the same as beheadings...which the left is strangely silent about?

i was hoping they wouldnt make this poor kid the poster child for american callousness...while the leaders walk off with billions, and lest we forget about the jihadist video's..a tad more deranged and a bit more vile.

i guess if you hate america..some young kid singing a distastefull song is a horror, but beheadings and bombs are just valient jihadists that warrent no attention...lol...:headbang:

To translate: "The fact that the left reacted just like the Right and was silent should mean that the Left condones the beheadings while the Right, which had the same reaction, somehow doesn't, as opposed to meaning that both sides know it's obvious beheading people is a heinous act and thus felt no need to point that out. In addition, we're mantaining moral superiority by commiting sins that are just a little bit less callous than the ones our enemies commit, and thus things like Abu Ghraib should be applauded, as well as this innocent song that will do nothing but foster good will among the two peoples by calling them a racial slur."

What would the left say?

Well ... we do live in a time where "silence is compliance" if it's something you don't like.

Peaceful Muslims don't denounce acts of Islamic terrorism? Guess they believe it's a good thing.

Lefties don't gnash their teeth and scream on the streets when someone gets beheaded? Guess they agree with the beheadings.

Christian Busheviks don't stomp their feet and light a match when a basic freedom, such as expression, is about to hit the chopping block? Well they're just being good Americans.

Now ... back to Leftie bashing ...

I thought it was pretty amusing actually... granted, this was mostly a response to the hysteria. Expecting something truly despicable, I got a chuckle at how minor it was. If I had come across it without any knowledge of the hype, I probably would've found it in bad taste.

very good point, and i stand corrected.

guess sometimes i wonder why no one seems to denounce the heinous acts(like was stated..is a givin)but when the west steps off line we are villafied..why not the same uproar over abu ghraib as beheadings?

and let me point out..intentional murder is not our agenda..well it is war,but we dont intentionally target innocent people..least i pray not.

i am conservative...but i am also human.

i am old school conservative...so i dont think we should have gone there to begin with..maybe i am an isolationist?

but i am pro choice, pro 2nd amendment, anti drug laws,,i suppose i am all over the map..my only point was that the "left is silent when it comes to the horror show perpetrated by the insurgents..yet quite vocal about our mistakes..that is all...poor choice stating the left i'll admit..but true neverthe less.

i guess i could stomach the left(as i am kinda left)if they attacked the atrocities commited by the "insurgents" with the same veracity as they do the rights(americas) comparitively minor misdeeds..leads me to believe there is an agenda is all i am saying!

not to say abu ghraib was nothing, but to compare it to beheadings and car bombs is laughable!

I don't get it. Why would people need to start a never-ending rant about beheadings? It's obviously utterly vile & insane. What more needs to be said?

And why would you not rant endlessly about the human rights violations of your own country? They are things YOU can stop, because they are things YOU have started.

... What the fuck?

Some bearded raghead terrorist wrote this pamphlet which was circulating in the occupied territories. Check out his camel jockey ramblings:

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

The scumbag is encouraging Islamic terrorists to resist and rise up. I hope they nail him up.

The book of Matthew, the holy bible.

Who did Jesus Behead? Noone. Who did he kill? Noone. Who's camel caravans did he hijack? None.

He was bearded, yes. He probably wore a rag for clothes.

He saved people, preached about salvation, healed the sick, raised the dead, and awed the wisemen of his day with his knowledge of the scriptures and prophecies.

Dude you didn't even get the Savior & Religion right. WTF mate?

there is a striking difference. Abu Ghraib was done by people who represent me. They are from my country, they are from my military. They are paid with my tax money, and what they do changes the perception I recieve.
The people commiting beheadings and such are not a group that I have any influence over. My own military, I atleast have a prayer of changing.

Well then you're a ponce. I eat MREs regularly to keep up my vitality.

If they feed it to people who kill eachother for a living, it must be worth eating.

This also offsets my francophile poncery of wasting my paychecks on sauternes and foie gras.

It's called the First Amendment. We in the US don't view "speech" to be harmful in the same way that beheadings are. Also, it's not logical to say that Abu Ghraib and a funny song are the same thing. In fact, it only points up the fact that YOU don't believe in free speech.

guess sometimes i wonder why no one seems to denounce the heinous acts(like was stated..is a givin)but when the west steps off line we are villafied..why not the same uproar over abu ghraib as beheadings?

Because the West (America), frequently goes on about how it's all so fair, democratic, just, blah, blah, blah, more self righteous crap.

Terrorists don't make that claim. Terror organizations generally claim to be in a struggle to do something or another, and the methods involved generally involve a lot of killing. Just about everybody knows that. They don't make bones that they're brutal and only care about their view.

The West likes to make a lot of double talk. Do as I say and not as I do you see. So when it DOES step out of the line, which is an inevitability anyway, and they get caught, expect to be hamstrung.

Who gets a bigger level of revulsion? A convicted sex offender of a minority (and often marginalized) race or a rich white dude who gets found out of being a pedophile?

It's simple. If the West didn't bullshit so often about it's righteousness, it wouldn't catch so much flak for being unrighteous. Russians certainly don't make all that much noise and they get a whole lot less.

Don't pretend to be what you're not. People would find less to condemn about you then.

Abu Ghraib is something that approaches to beheading. And I explained why the Left (much like the Right) won't "say anything" about the beheadings, which also has other reason, namely beheadings is what we can EXPECT from terrorists, but we shouldn't have to expect sexual torture and bigotry from supposed lawful soldiers. Who are you to say I don't believe in free speech? Pointing out that that song will cause more ill feelings among them equals trying to prohibit it now? It's funny, because I'm betting that you'd get furious if a nutjob claimed 9/11 was justified. Or his isn't "free speech"? I can up the ante as well and claim you like hate speech against the Arabs, but that, much like what you did, would be libellous flaming - if a tad closer to the truth than your statement.
