I'm planning to take an A+ Certification sometime this fall, does anybody got a suggestion/recommendation on what book(s) should I read? I'm thinking the Sybex textbook my friend of mine (a computer techie) recommend, but I need to be convinced. Thanks :)

BTW, I am emotionally wrecked right now (not really lol). I took the most devastating government exams ever..... Physics 12.

I was thinking of getting that one too, I just wanted to increase my chance of getting employed in the IT industry. BTW, I'm taking the electrical program at the college.

A+?

Nah. At most we might consider you for a very junior position.

MCSE is getting to be worth only the value of the paper it's on. It will not do much for you but you will be expected to have it.

CCNA is very good to have. People that can do basic Cisco are more interesting.

Now if you want the money! CCIE!

I think my advice would be to look at the type of jobs you want (at a site such as www.dice.com or www.monster.com) and see what the requirements say. You will eventually start to see patterns and know which one(s) will help you get the type of job you want.
