Modding

I just found my GTA3 game and are curious if anybody here knows how to mod a PS2 game. I figure it would be like modding a PC game, but I am curious.

I wouldn't think it would be possible without specialized equipment. I mean, a gameshark could give you unlimited life and all, but as far as content goes you're probably SOL.

Generally, not possible. Short of taking the disc, decompiling it, adding your content to the source code and recompiling it. Console games normally are stored entirely on a disc/cartridge and as such, all data is hardcoded.

I'm sure it can be done if you know what you're doing and have a LOT of time to kill. I know a guy on another forum who is quite the skilled modder. But his expertise is Dreamcast games, not PS2.

Modding for the PS2 isn't all that big, and I doubt you're going to find much for it.

So here's what you do:

1) You buy an Xbox (original, not 360)
2) You go here (http://www.llamma.com)
3) You enjoy your new mods.

Here's how you mod GTA3:

-Buy San Andreas

It has more shit with the same junk that has been running the series. Enjoy! ^_^
