Your favourite Fast food Restaurant?

Well? I work at a fazoli's not technically fastfood, considered "a casual italian restaurant". But anyways, I am listing only the ones I know of here in America..And well only ten options on the poll, so i reckon an "other" is needed.

Edit- let it be known that even though I hate working there, I still love the food from Fazoli's.

Fazolis is interesting like that. They have a drive-through, and give out meals in trays and paper sacks, but they want to pretend like they aren't a fast food resturant. :p Fancy fast food should be the term.

Subway is good, Schlotsky's too. I'm surprised some of the sandwich fast food places like those didn't make the list.

Fazoli's is really good, but I don't think there are any around where I live.

My favourite would have to be a three-way tie, depending on what I want to eat that day. I love Arby's and it is my "reliable" No. 1, I could eat it regardless of how I feel. If I want a burger and fries kind of meal, I'd go with Backyard Burgers. And for Mexican food, I love a big, fat Chipotle burrito. I miss Chipotle, we need you here in the Eastern US! Oh yeah, I also love Tokyo Joes, but that's only in Colorado, for now.

I got weened off fast food moving to a town where it's easier to not go than it is to go, so I don't eat at them that often anymore (my arteries thank me, but they shouldn't speak so soon, I likey burrito bars...)

Having said that, I'd have to go with Jack in the Box. I don't know if it's just a western states thing or if it's all over or what, but that's what I like. Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger is the greatest munchie burger ever. They also have the best fast food grilled sourdough burger.

I had sworn off KFC forever since the chicken started tasting like some unknown solid form of water to me, but the Famous Bowls are actually damned tasty. Granted, all times trying it I was stoned, so my standards would be adjusted appropriately...

MacDonald's, Wendy's, Jack-in-the-
Box, where?

BRETT
Big Kahuna Burger.

JULES
Big Kahuna Burger. That's that
Hawaiian burger joint. I heard they
got some tasty burgers. I ain't never
had one myself, how are they?

BRETT
They're good.

JULES
Mind if I try one of yours?

BRETT
No.

JULES
Yours is this one, right?

BRETT
Yeah.

Jules grabs the burger and take a bite of it.

JULES
Uuummmm, that's a tasty burger.
(to Vincent)
Vince, you ever try a Big Kahuna
Burger?

VINCENT
No.

Jules holds out the Big Kahuna.

JULES
You wanna bite, they're real good.

VINCENT
I ain't hungry.

JULES
Well, if you like hamburgers give
'em a try sometime. Me, I can't
usually eat 'em 'cause my girlfriend's
a vegetarian. Which more or less
makes me a vegetarian, but I sure
love the taste of a good burger.
(to Brett)
You know what they call a Quarter
Pounder with Cheese in France?

BRETT
No.

JULES
Tell 'em, Vincent.

VINCENT
Royale with Cheese.

JULES
Royale with Cheese, you know why
they call it that?

BRETT
Because of the metric system?

JULES
Check out the big brain on Brett.
You'a smart motherfucker, that's
right. The metric system.

Arby's when I have money and Wendy's when I don't have money. I also enjoy Subway from time to time. Once in a blue moon I will get a weird craving for Taco Bell, but this is only a couple times a year. I can also eat at Fazoli's or Hardees but I don't live close to either. I can't stand McDonalds or BK. I don't like fish, so Long John Silvers is out. My mom always got us KFC growing up, so I try to avoid it because I'm worn out on it. I just moved to a city that has Jack In the Box and that place creeps me out for some reason. I've never had Sonic because I've never lived somewhere with a Sonic, but now that I've moved there is one down the street... I will give it a shot!

my favorite KIND of 'fast food' joing is a noodle stall. sometimes called terriaki places. otherwise on general principals i prefer 'slow food' every time.

the kind of 'fast' food i eat most often is leftovers from my own refrigerator.

i can more or less understand the need to grab something quick, like at work and your employer doesn't give you enough time to really digest, but i just find the usual kinds of fast food really disappointing.

there was an outfit up in portland oregon a couple of decades back called peter's super bowl. it was a noodle joint. there's something called panda express at the food courts in the malls. these are ok. also the big grocery stores where i live, often have deli counters and some even have places where you can sit down and eat and get a cuppa.

all of these are way better then any hamburger or pizza joint.

taco stands are another good one, but taco smell (which is part of pepsico, nixxon's old outfit) is subsidising things that make life unhappy where its tomatoes come from among other things. fortunately there are other franchises and indipent ones that are really the best.

for sammiches there's togo's and quizno's, but i still like udon better, and chinese/japanese/thai/vietnamese places. most not really 'fast food' but some more or less relatively are, and the ones, agains the ones in the grocery stores pretty much are.

oh and then there's the hot dogs and sometimes other more interesting things in some of the gas station mini-marts. these are good when the're cheep and let you put your own choice of stuff on them.

smorgi style is absolutely the best way.

the 'mongolian bbq' places are great. also not exactly fast food but an interesting cross between the smorgi concept that the noodle stall.

Wendy's. And then Subway. And then this nice little place called the Cruz-Inn--a local joint--that uses some kind of special new oil for frying that supposedly is really healthy. I dunno, but that place is good eating. It's not open as often as I'd like though.

Arby's is my favorite, so "other." Arby's has my regular: Chicken Bacon Swiss and a large Jamocha shake. It's like frozen coffee with a chicken wing served wih bacon, the holy meat of god, and swiss, the best cheese EVER.

I am going to have to go with Wendy's they have the most extensive gluten free menu, so I actually have choices there beyond just soda and a salad.

However if you wanted a non-fast food restruant, then I have to pick Outback Steakhouse, since they have a huge gluten free menu and I can actually get more than "plain chicken breast and a soda"

although I do hit the sonic almost everyday for either a cherry vanilla dr. pepper or a strawberry chocolate coke.

Chipotle should only be in the East, because at least here in California we have enough real burrito bars to make that place pointless-they can't measure up to even the mangiest burrito bar.

By that logic there should be no Dominos or Pizza Huts in NYC, but there are... :(

For those not in the know: Pizza only exists in the US in the area between Boston, New York, Philly and down to about Dover. After that, everything else is a pale imitation. Chicago does not have Pizza. It has that absurdly tasty deep dish cousin to Pizza, but it's not Pizza. ;)
There are A FEW exceptions, such as Emilo's of Sterling, VA, but they are so few and far between as to be statistically zero.

Rules of thumb ("Am I eating "Pizza", or "pizza"?):
* No electric ovens. Never mind microwaves.
* No TV commercials. If there are more restaurants than owners, it's crap.
* Anchovies must be an option.
* Pineapple, "lo cal" anything, or buffalo wings ARE NOT.

You are making the common, but false assumption that 'fast food' contains the word 'food'. It does not. 'Fast food' bears no relationship whatsoever to food. It can be compared to feedstuff, or fodder, but not to food.
Additionally, if you look at how long it takes to get 'fast food' when compared to cooking your own meal, it also bears no relationship to the word 'fast'. The conclusion of this is that 'fast food' is a complex noun - a single word - which bears no relationship whatsoever to its component parts.

Actually, it's the middle here.. Plus it's quite an important assessment too.

Sigh, I better go do it. Farewell.

Not in the Southern Hemisphere it isn't.

any place that can make a good burger. So far, Wendy's Classic Triples have got me hooked more than any place else. Though Jack in the Box has one burger I love as well ^_^

I really hate almost all fast food. If I was absolutely desperate though, I suppose Subway or Chipotle. There's also a pretty okay greek chain around Washington D.C., but I can't remember the name...

I love the food at Jimmy the Greek. Especially the chicken thighs. They've been breeding those thighs for years to achieve maximum size and flavor.

I voted Taco Bell only because that is the only place I can get a Baja Blast. If it weren't for that, probably KFC, though that is kinda hard to eat while you're driving, if that is a consideration.

Ok, Arby's then.

What do they serve at Wendy's in America? We have Wendy's here in Australia but it's an ice cream place...
All sorts of stuff. We've got our Old Fashioned Hamburgers(Which is actually part of the name of the restaurant) which are uniquely square. (Unique so far as I know, anyway. And I refer to the patty.) We've got several different chicken sandwiches, including a spicy chicken sandwich. We've got some pretty damned good salads. Chicken nuggets, fries of course, baked potatoes, chili, deli-sandwiches(called Frescatas for whatever reason)...um...Frosties(a chocolate slush-like shake)...chicken strips, and I think that's it. We also serve breakfast, though only at a few in the U.S. right now. We're planning on taking it nationwide soon, with English muffins sandwiches/biscuit sandwiches, which you can have bacon, eggs, cheese, and sausage on...pancakes and scrambled egg platters...hashbrowns...biscuits and gravy...that's it for breakfast, I think.

...

Yes, I work at Wendy's. Whatever gave you THAT impression?

Fazolis is interesting like that. They have a drive-through, and give out meals in trays and paper sacks, but they want to pretend like they aren't a fast food resturant. :p Fancy fast food should be the term.

Subway is good, Schlotsky's too. I'm surprised some of the sandwich fast food places like those didn't make the list.

Schlotsky's tastes good, but you should check out the fat content. Oy, it'll kill you.

Subway, Del Taco, Jack in the Box, In and out, White Castle

I've been to two White Castles, ever, and both were terrible!

Del Taco was alright.

In & Out was good.

Jack in the Box - I couldn't walk in with a straight face. The name just... well, let's just say it puts my mind in a place I don't want to be in if there is mayo on the sandwich.

This is fast food. And it's cheap.

And it's GOOD. Far better than anything I've gotten at any other fast food in the area, or even from regular restaurants such as Chevy's or other Hispanic restaurants in the area.

http://www.guaposrestaurant.com/Locations/Herndon/Menu/menu.html

The food has an excellent taste, is served freshly cooked and hot, and the portions are LARGE.
