Ice cream trucks and stuff

So we've got ice cream trucks here in Canada, as well as many other parts of the world (U.S., Britain, Australia, etc). There are also chip vans in various places too which sell chips/french fries obviously.

That being said.. what else do you think people could retail on a moving van? Food for one thing, because we can all be lazy sometimes and the fast food truck coming around the corner on a nice day would probably do the trick.

Perhaps also a moving convenient store for those moments when you run out of something and you need to get it right away but are feeling lazy so you wait for the convenience van to drive into your neighbourhood, and then you purchase a newspaper, a lottery ticket, and some milk and cheese! :)

Belgian waffles covered with strawberries and whipped cream! (Note - the sweet, gooey strawberries in their own sauce, not the not-flavorful very crisp type).

Of course, you could always put chocolate flakes on the whipped cream... ;)

"I heard from a friend that American sweets taste like wax, is this true?"

Unless our wax is just a lot less sweet than foreign wax, no, having eaten both wax and candy, though I can't say from exprience whether foreign chocolates and candies are sweeter (Depends on location).

I think trucks should stick to selling pretty much just food. Some things aren't meant to be mobile. Imagine a Urinal-mobile. If you really have to go, just tell one to pull up and you pay 50 cents to use their urinals lol.

OK so the US needs Turkish Delight delivery flying carpets (vans I mean). Other than that, which we don't have in Brazil - too hot for TD - we have delivery vans for rental movies, fruit and veg, pharmacies, eggs, etc. etc. They are convenient until you are trying to pay attention to something that is being said, and are interrupted by the egg man blaring out his signal etc.

If I want something, I go to the shops and buy it - it is just too noisy here to have all these hawkers going around adding to the racket. So I don't encourage them.

Suprisingly we do not have ice cream vans. Hum - good business idea there. :)

I think you are going to have to be a little more specific. What do you mean by sweets? In most places chocolate is considered a sweet.

One factor that may be relevant here is that sweets made for hot climates tend to be harder, for obvious reasons, than those made for cold climates. If I were to ship some Brazilian chewy sweets to the UK, you would be able to shatter them with a hammer. The convers is also true. If you were to send me some British chewy sweets, I would probably have to drink them (or nearly).
