ooc: REQUESTING HELP WITH PSP VIDEOS
Greetings all,
I own a PSP, and am having enormous trouble putting videos onto it. I have created the MP_ROOT folder, the 100MNV01 folder, converted my video files to PSP format, named the files M4Vxxxxx (where x is a number), yet after I put the files onto my PSP, I am unable to view them. It says: "There are no videos", but space is being taken up.
I appreciate your help.

This guide seems good: http://www.engadget.com/2004/12/21/how-to-get-videos-and-dvds-onto-your-sony-playstation-portable/

They also had an article about this in Maximum PC a few months back. You could search their web site if you wish.
Sorry, one problem: I use a Mac, and the software in the link you privided works only on Windows.

Well, the Mac ad goes on and on about how Macs can run Windows and Mac software, but anyway: http://homepage.mac.com/major4/psp.html

Much in the way that a couple years ago Mac claimed it was the ultimate gaming machine.

That'd be a nice ad to watch: the middle-aged guy kicking the young dude's ass in a first person shooter stage :D

Can't help with the PSP, but just for future reference, outside the RP forums you're always OOC, so you don't need to tag that here. :)

Right, I'll remember that for future use of the General forum.
I'm currently looking into that ffmpegx program. I'll post if it doesn't work.
It didn't work. I'll encode the video, put it into the correct directory, but then when I go to watch the video, it says, "There are no videos". This is becoming very frustrating. Does it have something to do with my PSP version? I am currently running 2.60.
