I know we're all rich elite nation owning bastards, so of course we gotta have a palace, or nine.. :p

So I would like to know what your palace(s) look like!

I'll start.

When I became dictator, I knew I needed a home that would pwn the competition. So what did I do? I went to Philadelphia and bought their city hall and had it moved to it's current location in my nation :D

At 167 m (548 ft), including statue, it is the world's tallest masonry building: the weight of the building is borne by brick and stone walls up to 22 ft thick, rather than steel. The principal exterior materials are limestone, granite, and marble.

The building was designed by Philadelphia architect John McArthur, in the Second Empire style, and was constructed from 1871 until 1901 for a cost of $24 million. Originally designed to be the world's tallest building, by the time it was completed it had already been surpassed by the Washington Monument and the Eiffel Tower. The building close to 700 rooms.

The building is topped by an 11 m (37 ft), 27-ton bronze statue of city founder William Penn, one of 250 sculptures created by Alexander Milne Calder that adorn the building inside and out. The statue is the tallest atop any building in the world.

But with such a small building that it is, I decided to buy a summer palace.

After looking and looking I finally found the perfect building (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Columbia_Parliament_Buildings).

The grand scale of its 500-ft long facade, central dome and two end pavilions, the richness of its white marble.

Needless to say; it was quite a cheap buy :)

I would have two. One would be in a large Urban area. It would be a windowless black skyscraper with security cameras and armed guards. The other would be a creepy, haunted-looking castle on a cliff in an isolated, dark and forbidding forest.

The palace itself is the tallest building in the city, which is the capital of the planet as well as the capital of the Vetalian Empire. At present, it's under construction along with most of the city center; an economic boom is driving the skyscraper growth and swelling the treasury with money to build with.

This is what the interior of the palace looks like. Gold gilding and wide panoramas as well as extravagant furnishings.

This part is at the highest level looking out towards the mountains; the bridge city is the heart of Vetalia's financial and trade industries and is designed to be both city and conduit for various energy, utility and communications pipelines running to the shipyards

What people don't know...

the problem is that people could show Google Earth photos of the property, and claim I have WMD.
