I hve never seen a dog with a tongue that big especially on such a small dog. Wow!

Yes I have, and it was on a pug. The tongue was so long, in fact, that about four inches of it couldn't even fit in the dog's mouth. We had to surgically remove the excess amount and rebuild the tip. I don't know if it's a breed characteristic, but most pugs do seem to have long tongues, and they almost always curl upwards like that, too.
