WC: Does anybody else have "We can't win" syndrome?

For some reason, no matter who my teams play, they seem unbeatable. For example, I follow Germany and Ukraine, and right now, Sweden and Tunisia feel invincible.

Anybody else got this problem?

Wouldn't really know my opinion is based on 4 minutes of news footage, but from what i saw the Croats were cheats.
They obviously thought they were William Webb Ellis picking up a Football and trying to start a great game called Rugby.

Croats, in Football the idea is to use your feet, head, chest not your hands!

Unfortunatly i had work and what really pisses me off is tonights games start at 2am and there are 2 of them and the next games start at 7am.

WTF!!!:headbang:
Why not have 1 at 2, 1 at 4 and have two at 7 or 2 at 1 or 2 at 4.???

It is just stupid, i guess i'll be on the web then.

Yeah. I watch the Atlanta Braves. They truly can't win.

Did you watch the Sweden match? The word "Defence" does not appear to be in our vocabulary. Put a decent striker up there, and we're screwed. Add the lack of stikers, and we're sunk.

I'm more amazed that most of the country appears to think we're going to win this cup.

Imagine being a ghana fan now... BRAZZZZZZZZZIL!

Yeah. I watch the Atlanta Braves. They truly can't win.The run had to end sometime. I grew up a New Orleans Saints fan--try that for a while. :)

I can accept that they might not win the NL East forever, but to lose 20 of the last 23 games is a little much.

I remember the 'Aints. I remember the guys with paper bags over their heads in the stands, too. Yeah, things could be worse, all the pro teams in town could be losers.

At least my adopted home team just pulled down an NBA championship, even though I can't really get excited about it.

I've watched a couple Hawks games because the company has tickets. The NBA doesn't excite me half as much as going to the Georgia Tech games did. Maybe it's a school thing, maybe the college players just try harder.

Actually, Atlanta does have losers in all the pro sports, now that I think about it. We have the Hawks, the Thrashers, the Falcons, and the Braves. I used to think it was just a 'bird' thing, but it must be more contagious that I had thought.

Yes, I do. Not so much in the preliminary rounds, but definitely now. Sweden has never seemed so scary. Well, apart from talking to Fass.

Sweden has never seemed so scary.
Why?

Look at the facts: They played a nil-nil draw against Trinidad & Tobago. Even St. Pauli scored against them!
They played poorly against Paraguay, and it took a very late goal to even give them the chance to make it through.
And against England they only played anywhere near decent in the second half.

They play like the German team used to. And Ibrahimovic may not even be fit.

I'm thinking a lot harder about Argentina right now.

Hmm, in my head I seem to remember them being a lot stronger than you make them sound. Likely I just didn't pay attention well enough and only remember their good moments. Yeah, I'll go with that.

No?

You in England may be through to the last 16 having won your first to games, but we in the UK aren't in the tournament.

Yes, but you beat them 1-0. They don't like to be reminded of that. :D :D

Yes, I was going to bring that up if he said that we were too crap to get in.

Something along the lines "Yeah, but we beat you, so we can't be that crap"

:D
