Poisons and explosives, oh my. What's the punishment for that sort of thing in Britain?

Looks like I just missed being in London to get the local news on this.

Globe and Mail Update

Four more terror suspects have been arrested in England, reportedly with ties the 17 suspects arrested in southern Ontario earlier this month.

West Yorkshire Police said Tuesday they had arrested three men in East and South-East London and another in Northern England with connections to two other terror suspects detained earlier this month in that country.

Abed Khan, a 21-year-old resident of the northern English city of Bradford, was arrested at Manchester airport on June 6 upon his return from Pakistan. The following day, a 16-year-old was arrested in Dewsbury, outside of Leeds.

Mr. Khan faces charges under the British Terrrorism Act of plotting terrorism-related murders and conspiring to use poisons or explosives in attacks. The 16-year-old, whose name was not released, faces charges conspiracy to commit murder and to conspire to cause public nuisance by use of poisons or explosives.

According to the article West Yorkshire police arent even British authorities. They may not be either. As far as I could tell none of the suspects has been shot by the West Yorkshire plod yet.

Well, it's hard for the West Yorkshire police to shoot anyone, unless they call a firearms squad. Short of that, all they can use is bad language.
