I <3 Ramen Noodles. In College they are like my best friend. My favourite flavour is the beef. WHat is your favourite flavour?

Beef flavor with hot pepper, fresh ground black pepper, and a little bit of dehydrated onion thown in. Plus I like to let them cool down a bit and eat them just barely warm.

What is ramen? Are they like Super Noodles?

I've had ramen in Japan and it sounds nothing like what you guys are describing so I'm assuming it's an American takeoff.

Mmmm...Ramen. Chicken is usually the one I go for.

But the truely scary ramen I've had was choco-mocha ramen. The most confusing food I've ever eaten.

sure.

Love Ramen... the instant noodles (where you boil them in water and then add the soup base) is alot more versitle than it seems, while the Cup Noodles, are a quick and easy meal when one is too tired to cook.

I don't know where you're from, or where you tried instant ramen here in Japan, but I can tell you as a voice of in depth experience that yes indeed what these guys are talking about is identical to what's available here in Japan (and yes that includes the cheese flavor). In fact, the top instant ramen brands in the US (Sapporo Ichiban, Maruchan and Nissin) are Japanese. For that matter, Nissin's founder, Mr. Momofuku Ando, invented the stuff.

My great-uncle was a high powered instant ramen executive, so when I was little, one of my main foods was instant ramen. I got really, really sick of it, and I haven't had it in years. I used to like chicken, I think.

I had maruchan tomato ramen once. Haven't seen it around in a very long time. Maybe because it tasted like really bad spaghetti.

Did you watch the ramen face off yesterday on TV?

There's a store in Matsumoto that's my personal fav. I adore their pork ramen.

Sadly though, I doubt I will ever be able to eat instant ever again.

Nope. Last night, the TVs were all glued to the World Cup.
The best ever ramen was a little hole-in-the-wall (quite literally!) in Niigata, simply called Kyushu Ramen.
The nameless little joint up the road in my neighborhood is good too.
And as for instant, a pack of Chiken Ramen every now and then is good.

Kyronea: I found you one, from google. Oshima Ramen, a Tokyo based small chain, has a shop in Denver. From the reviews, it sounds like this is your place. :D
