Friday (BEFORE I lost my internet-stupid contractors...) I went up to the UPS hub and shipped my gun off. Kid at the front desk was being a punk and said I couldn't ship a firearm off because I wasn't a "Licensed" dealer, so I pulled out the UPS and ATF regs and asked junior to send his boss out here. 5 minutes later the gun is off to the gunsmith to be built and to boot it only cost 13$ to have a 10 lb package shipped. Can't beat that.
The hub is about 30 minutes from my house and I had to get off work early to get there. The Benz needed a good drive anyways.....
FU USPS!

And the point of this story is what, exactly?
Am I meant to be shocked that young people new to their jobs don't know their operating regulations chapter and verse?

Maybe it's the $13 shipping for a 10 lb package.

Well it's not only the UPS guy that didn't know his company's rules, but the USPS old guy who's been working their longer than DM has been alive. Long time. And not to mention the looks of an entire freaked out line in the USPS post office when I told the old guy I had a gun in my box to be shipped...
And the fact I was right. Not to be egotistical, but the first time I was told NO I drove 30 minutes one way to ship that off after getting off of work early and it ended up being all for naught. This is now a feud between myself and the UPS guy...we must be mortal enemies, etc, yada yada yada yada...
