That is just unfathomable! The average annualrainfall here is way less than that!

Bahh, it's nothing man. The ONLY way it could get worse is if Lootie and Nagin showed up. In the meantime, the Texas crew has things squared away as far as post-flooding looter control, beer, and food go!

I can't even begin to imagine how hard and fast the rain must have been falling for there to be that sort of volume in that short time span... wow.

I am sure the Texas crew has it all squared away -- NOT!
Just like your evacuation from Hurricane Rita -- where folks fleeing sat in traffic hours longer than the storm itself.

Make no mistake, it is SOMETHING to incur rainfall like that.
Our prayers go to those affected. Texas was certainly on the whole a very welcoming place for us fleeing / displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

Yes, there were some big time problems in New Orleans. 100,000+ of our people (most without access to cars) were literally marooned in the city for the storm. But 1.2 million fled the metro within 36 hours.

Mayor Nagin certainly earned his derision -- yet the voters spoke May 20 and re-elected him. Your insults are insulting unnecessarily.
