They say, that the first year of marriage is the hardest. Well, in six days, me and Roan will have been married for one year. And its been one hell of a year. Good times (mostly) and a few rough ones, but we have made it.
It still amazes me, that we've known each other for three years (as of October 5th), Lived together for two, and been married for one. All this form a simple thread titled "Introducing Roan Claddagh" by Mezzaluna.
So to the other couples on NS: Yah, meeting your mate here may be unusual, but it can work.
BTW the only NS couples I can think of: Hans and SilverCities, and Pure Metal and Glitziness (As cute as me and Roan were.:) ) Are there any others?

Nobody really knows me because I'm a total lurker, but Roania and I met here, and we've been together for almost two years.
It just goes to show that you never know where you might find love.
Did you freeze a piece of wedding cake to eat on your first anniversary? Its good luck except when it causes food poisoning. Congrats on almost a year of wedded bliss

I hate to be the one to tell you this but having been married 24 years I can say that the first year is the best. It's all sex and emotion. The real tough times (and the greatest joy) comes with children. Suddenly it's not just a couple with no schedule. Everything (including sex) gets to be second, third, fourth, fifth, to children.
Then there are the tough financial times. You really find out how much you can sacrifice and live without. Or if your priorities are different from your mates.
I hope you married your best friend. There are times when friendship is all you have.
Having thrown in this downer. If you can live through the down times you will find marriage to be the greatest.
