Quality Mountain Bikes

So I'm browsing on Froogle for a mountain bike. I see a whole lot that look like they might be good, but I don't know which is and which isn't. Further, I'm trying to keep the price range to ~150--300 dollars, which might influance the quality somewhat. Thus, once again it seems, I turn to Nationstates. You guys seem to know everything else, so what's good in a mountain bike? What's the best quality for my price range?

Note: It must be a men's bike. Bikes designed for tots are a no go. Also, it must be pre-assembled. I have absolutely no talent whatsoever in assembling anything as complicated as a bike and I am sure to screw it up if I have to assemble it myself.

Pffft, good luck.

Considering that a large majority of the bikes I've seen on Froogle are within that range--or even below(those that are seem to require assembly, though)--it's not all that unreasonable.
