WC: Spain vs. Tunisia

Alright, I watched this game, and for those of you who don't know, the final results was 3-1 for Spain. Tunisia held a 1-0 lead until around 70 minutes.

Now, what I want to talk about is the ref. Does anyone agree with me that the ref was incredibly biased towards Spain? The Tunisian players would barely touch the Spanish, and they'd get a foul. The yellow cards were also unnecessary, not to mention the penalty shot was NOT merited!

Who's with me?

Who's with me?I just saw bist of the first half...
But the ref in their first game was calling most against Tunisia.

Inside the first 5 minutes.. a crystal clear PK was not called.. That call alone may kill Tunisia WC advancement hopes..

Oh, they were totally killed! It's bad enough they had to face a superior team, but also the ref? You can't win on that! Hell, even a slightly better team may lose because the ref's against them.

The Football elite get away with murder against lesser teams and WC Germany is no exception.

What kind of a stupid question is that?

I wasn't necessarily referring to the game, but overall public opinion, not to mention Spain placed higher than Tunisia in the group arrangements.

However, even from the game, I still felt and continue to feel that Spain is the better team. If your opinion differs, then I'm fine with that, I was just stating my opinion.

Spain had beaten the moors before, so this really came as no surprise.

I'll throw my vote with you, but I don't know enoughabout soccer to have known...he did give like 5 cards though and that penalty didn't seem fair. The guy had nowhere to go but push that other guy. lol

Spain placed higher than Tunisia in the group arrangements.FIFA "places" the groups "rankings"... FIFA has zero credibility.. Power rankings anyone? However, even from the game, I still felt and continue to feel that Spain is the better team. What kind of a stupid question is that? indeed there is some stupidity around here.. we shall find out where.. soon enough..

You know what? How about we forget the whole thing. I think it was a pronoun reference misunderstanding.

Whatever, all's good :p

I'm always curious to see the opinions of other refs about the job the refs do, having in fact reffed myself at one point. I have no opinion however, as I haven't actually been able to watch any games - I keep up with it online.
