So if the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are all seperate gods wouldn't christianity be polytheistic? we need to get an ordained priest on here i'm confused

It's kind of like your body. It has different parts with different functions but you are one unit.

We could say "hands" are typing this message. But we all know the hands are not working independently. The thoughts are not coming from the hands they are coming from the "brain". But at the same time the brain isn't independent of the "emotions".

So we have one person (unit) with three parts working together yet they are one.

Jesus (or that which became what is called Jesus) was like the hands. It was the creator in the beginning.

The Father is like the brain keeping things functioning. It was still in operation as the "hands" was on earth teaching about the one unit.

At the same time the emotions (love) (spirit) always functioned as a part of both the work of the hands and the leadership of the brain.

In most religions there are many words for the many functions of the one God. Three is rather arbitrary and not really a foundational part of Christianity and more than the 99 names of Allah is a foundational part of Islam.

Actually, the trinity was not invented in 325 it has always been... However, man didnt understand that until the Church clarified it and yeah it took them a while too... God is three persons in one God in the Blessed Trinity... The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit. Jesus was both man and God. Conceived through the Holy Spirit in Mary's womb.:) :)

Yeah the Holy Spirit was on Earth just after the Ascension of Our Lord into Heaven at Pentecost. That is when the Gifts of the Spirit were given.
