i prefer miniature plants that have zillions of little tiney ones.

i don't much care for big showey ones. austentation is always tasteless crap.
natural flowers are how they are and that's great.
but all these ones that have been selectively cultivated to exagerate their blooms, isn't that kind of like vegitative pornographic hentai?

ok not that i have anything against eroticism either.
just that i don't see exageration of size all that attractive.

my favorites are too many and diverse for me to memorize the names they've been given but like i said, what are genericly refered to as 'alpine' 'perennials', especialy super dwarf miniatures in scale with my 1/2" to the foot trains i have running arround in my garden.

and perenials because how much maintainence can you really count on being able to give them.

and of course i'm talkng about live growing flowers in the garden.
cut flowers, boquettes, sticking them in vases to die a slow and unsightly death, these are inhumaine abbominations.

and to think what vegitarians think the're doing because they don't eat meat.

well that's ok too i guess. at least plants don't usualy blead so horribly.
other then milkweed and the like.

let's see, there's something sold localy as alyssums. and of course lavender itself. belive it or not i've had both of these in my garden and they lasted several years. the lyssoms five at least and the lavenders three.

both were a bit overscale but still wonderful pretty growing there.

i had both growning there togather.

like i say i can't rememeber the names of the other ones i've had and have that i like.

baby's tears and baby's breath are like miniature kudzu once you get them going.

the escarot ate most of them, down to where i thought they were gone completely, till one little plant finaly aclimated and then took off and took over, like some kind of miniature kudzu, but not as destructive. it covered all the bare spots so now everything is nice and green, and there's these bushes of miniature flowers growing up between them and miniature trees from wild seeds that have blown in on the wind that i keep sort of bonsai'd to keep their roots from eating the foundation of the house where the're growing next to it.

but those big showey things like roses and camillias and chrisanthimums, the liliadea generaly, forget it.

only tea roses are alright if you're actualy going to dry and grind their hips to make red zinger tea. and you have some place to grow them where they won't overscale everything else.

oh and things that have good smell to them are good too. something most of those over cultivated giant blooms usualy don't.

Ain't really much going on plant/flower wise, but it has an awesome fragrance that it releases, surprise surprise, in the late evening.
I used to live in a place that had it all around. It was great opening the windows at night and having the scent waft in. Covered the smell of grubby gym socks well.
