I have a model YP-T7JX mp3 player that doesn't come up on my windows media synchronizing file. It worked before, but then my computer crashed, and now I can't get it to install. Any suggestions?

Usually it comes with a manual, or you can go to the official website to check it out, can't you?

I did that, and I downloaded the driver, firmware, etc, but it's still not working. As for the manual, it says that the model name must appear on the bottom bar of my computer, which it isn't.

If it plugs into the USB port on your computer try using a different port, sometimes that works.

As opposed to synchronizing the thing, does plug-and-play work?

If that does, you can access the thing through your My Computer folder, and it will be listed as an external device. Then you can just drag and drop. At least that's what I do.

You're a sneaky fella.

But Dude111, try using a different USB port, most preferably one lower on your tower.

Well, computers have a tendency to be stupid with MP3 players, or mine at least.

If the installs arn't working, i would go to add/remove programs, delete the program using that, delete any remaining traces i could find, make sure no related processes were running, and then try installing it again.

Also, if possible, don't bother with software, if you can get away with draging and dropping the music straight onto it life is often so much easier. As other people have said, it should appear as an external device. Not all work that way though, mine has to use the software and it is so annoying.

If that didn't work, well then i would pray, computers sometimes have a tendency of working themselves out and it will work tommorow, unlikely though.

There is also the obvious but often painful option if you are desperate enough, something has buggered, format PC :p
